twobone
Both my front brakes are dragging. Likely culprate is a dirty caliper piston sleeve? What else might you recommend? I assume this is not dangerous other than the risk of disc warpage and fast deterioration of pads?
Ian7
Do you have dual-piston calipers (ie caliper fixed and pistons on both sides of disk move), or a simpler (cheaper) street car style where one piston moves and the caliper also moves on sliders? very common for that type of caliper to seize up on its bushings and not relax once applied. BMW RACER
How bad are they dragging? Can you feel them stop the car when you have your foot off the brakes?
twobone
No, just squeeling/chirping. It is coating my wheels with brake dust.
jlumba81
How much pad life is left? Squeeling is usually a sign that they are low. Try spraying some silicon lube under the caliper pistion seal.
