SCCA Autocross at the Brooksville Airport Sat. and the BMW Club at Brooksville on Sunday! I got beat Saturday by a F500 and a 1968 Datsun (That car/driver was FAST. The Datsun took FTD.

Sunday I managed FTD.

Congratulations!

What a course: the world's 2 longest slaloms, connected by a single right hand turn. The course design is dictated by the site, so not much they could do.

Brooksville is fairly narrow being as it is a runway. Slaloms generally are a fair piece of the courses there. Every so often we get ones with cross overs and loop backs, but that can limit it to one car on the course at a time. Great grippy surface there. Always a great time.

FTD was probably there for teh taking on Saturday. ur late on the first few cones in the slalom. on both sides it looks like an easy second to be made up. Don't worry about gett around that cone that cone thats in front of you. If u got around teh cone behind u correctly, ur already around that next cone. Always be turned ealy in teh slaolm spacing. its all teh difference and makes them more fun.

Jon ( BOX ) would have set FTD, and wiped out all the timing gear !!!! LOL

Lol. An enthusiastic M3 driver did exactly that at an SCCA event a few weeks ago.. Not the FTD part, just the timing gear part. He was sure he could wring out another second.... paid for it with some busted electronics and a crease in his rocker panel. Lucky the competition runs were over by then.

I have been guilty of that once in my past. Smacked the lights in my Solo Vee. Fortunately the equipment still worked after gathering up the parts. That drive of shame past all the other drivers is rough..:banghead:

absolutely. I'm thinking about orange ribbons being trophies for next season. Save the cones!:jester:
