Kitcat Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Read it this a.m. I loved the car w/no reverse so it had a handle on the back!(are you paying attention Busa engined se7ers:)?).
slngsht Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 are you paying attention Busa engined se7ers?
powderbrake Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I had a Berkeley, a small fiberglass roadster with a 500cc 3 cylinder Excelsior motorcycle engine. It only weighed 700 pounds, so when I drove it into my 1 car garage, I picked up the back end ( front wheel drive), and set it to the side so I could get my Corvair in there, along with my Honda scrambler and my lawnmower.
Hank Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Read it this a.m. I loved the car w/no reverse so it had a handle on the back!(are you paying attention Busa engined se7ers:)?). I would think most Busa-engined se7ens come with a reverse box. I know mine did. Of course, to reduce weight in my Megabusa I removed it along with the linkages for it. Took 35 lb out! Although the handle sounds cute I just use the rollcage as leverage.
gjslutz Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 My 750 Honda powered golf cart didn't have rerverse either. With the live axle rear, I had to make larger turns.
snookwheel Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 My 750 Honda powered golf cart didn't have rerverse either. With the live axle rear, I had to make larger turns. That would be some pictures / Video's I would really like to see! :driving: Scott
powderbrake Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 One of the interesting features of the Berkeley was that it had a two cycle engine, and for reverse, you turned off the engine, toggled a switch to the starter, and restarted in reverse. Four speeds in reverse too!
