1992 Caterham history

Caterham history.

I have a 1992 Caterham and I am trying to trace its history.

Have tried through CC UK, Rosey Moffat, only to get “Unfortunately the file on that car is empty”

Are there any other avenues I can try?

I am assuming you have already deciphered the Caterham chassis number using the following guide:

At least this will confirm that the specs in the chassis number correspond to what you are looking at on the car.

 

Assuming it was a UK car, then if Caterham UK is coming up empty then it gets difficult at that point. If it was originally a UK car then you could try searching all forums on Blatchat using its old UK numberplate (or parts of it, assuming you have it)?

 

Assuming it was a US car then I would try Caterham USA as their predecessor Rocky Mountain Sports Cars went back to that era.

I have deciphered the number, but I didn't think off trying RMSC. I sent Ben a e-mail. I'm surprised CC UK couldn't tell me it's DOP and POE.
