slngsht
Excellent way to start my morning! Who needs coffee:)! Turning an 8.07 in those conditions is amazing. There was so much slow traffic and he was held up in various places due to it. All those clueless drivers who seemed to have no idea he was closing on them (sorry Mr. 'Vette, sorry Mr. 911). There were a bunch of places where he looked like he was going to get crushed by an unaware driver. And then there was the tow truck stopped on the track, pulling a car out of the woods. No warning, yellow flag, nuttin. Sure wld like to see John Meyers over there in his winged L3 Stalker. Could he break 7:00? breaking 7 would be pretty difficult. Only because large balls required to drive that fast are quite heavy and drag down the power to weight ratio.
slngsht
Here's a video of a 2012 ZR-1 Corvette on the 'Ring. 183 mph on the long straight and a 7.19 time. HOTTTCAR
That's difficult to watch without your knuckles turning white.
MHKflyer52
You know that bang for the buck I think the Newer Corvettes (2005 or newer) are one of the best buys in the automotive world I feel and they even look great to boot and sound good too. Only issue that I have with them is my wife does not like the interior which I do not understand but that is why I do not have one, but if I had to get rid of the Porsche and the MG and the Miata and the 7 then I think I would have a nice Corvette and who knows maybe one day I will. I know get rid of the wife and keep the cars and get a Corvette...:jester:...is just not an alternative for me.....I'll just keep what I have for now and and enjoy life as it is
