Dimensions of a Westfield

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys. Andy of Purple Seven Fame..

I'm about to pick up my second Westfield and want to trailer it home to New York. Does anyone know the minimum size requirements? Looking at two trailers, one is 10 x 7, I like it as it is small, efficient and easily stored. The other is larger, like a U-Haul, which will be a challenge to store. Can anyone tape off their seven and tell me will the little one fit the car?

So outside wheel to outside wheel edge, and Front tire patch to rear tire contact patch.

My other car is upstate NY and am impatient to get a read on necessary size requirements. Thanks to all.

One other note?

My 97 SEIW has a threaded screw hole on the windshield surround but no mirror? Where can I get one? at my age it's tough tying my slippers never mind craning my turkey neck to see what I just passed.. Thanks to all. Be safe ,Andy

Someone also recently had a Seven size trailer for sale somewhere on the forum? Anyone have a contact, it looked good. Thanks

It was a Brunton Automotive custom Se7en specific built tilt bed trailer. It was located in Indianapolis and it sold within the last two or three weeks. Possibly someone on this forum bought it. I have one like it and they are great..!!!

Andy, are you referring to the little threaded hole at the top center of the windscreen trim? If so, that's the hole for the locating pin used to secure the plastic windscreen fitting glued into the hood. The rear view mirror affixes directly to the windscreen. You should be able to pick up something that works at an auto parts store.

Any details on the new car?

Thanks,

John
