Al,

I can see if I can get some routes from the NJ/PA corvette folks who make the trip down - although, they're likely to take the highway down.

I know what you mean about getting beat up on the highway. I don't even have doors, and I did 600 miles a few weeks ago. That's about as long as I can drive in 2 days.

Do you have an email address from anyone in the Reading-based "Skyline

Drive" Corvette Club?

I ask, because I'm trying to figure out the non-highway route to Skyline

for the Sevens gathering and they might know best. I can get to Reading

fairly easily from where I live in NJ. I just don't know if I should try Route

81 South.

I know I don't want to be on 78 going west through PA...there are a few

cattle chutes that would be terrifying in the Seven. Please advise.

Al, I just did this via Streets & Trips (with dislike to interstates and toll roads), and this is what it returned. I've been on most of those roads, and for most part (with possible exception of parts of 30 and 15), they're divided highways.

Let me know what you think:

Mazda, thanks for the itinery and maps - very useful. I'm about 2 hours

South of rte 50 so will try to intercept you guys somewhere on 50

before White Post.  Failing that, I'll see you at White

Post.  Here's to dry weather!

Looking forward to it. Steve.

Steve, so far looks like the weather will be good.

I'll have to scramble and fix all the stuff with the Rotus and get her back on the road by Friday.

All,

I spoke with John last night regarding White Post. It appears for insurance reasons, we will not be able to get a tour of the facility. We will still use their lot as the meeting point near Front Royal before heading into Skyline Drive.

Mazda,

just wanted to add my thanks to all the others for orgaizing the

weekend - fantastic stuff. I had a great run back down the mountain on

33 - ran into some hot rods on the way to a show.

I'll attempt to add a few photos (as you know, this is not my strong suit)

Best, Steve.

Here they are. Great pics

Steve, do you have a sample picture of your art work you could email me? I wanted to pass it off to this artist who works for me as a programmer. Perhaps he can do something for an online place for you at a reasonable cost.

STEVE - LOVE THAT FIRST SHOT FROM THE PROMONTORY ON HIGH!

If you send me a disk with the high rez of these, I'll crop out the Volvo (or is

that Bart) and print for everyone...I could probably also get one of my guys

to doctor the cloud shot so we all look lined up better.

Great to meet you all...drive back was drier than way down, but somehow

scarier (lots of tailgaters).

Hope to see you all again soon.

Thanks Al,

My daughter has used up all my discs (again!). I'll get some more tomorrow and send pics to you. What address?

Best, Steve.

Steve, are the source files bigger than the ones you emailed?

I can host big files for you temporarily so Al can download. Let me know if that would work.

Steve, I sent you an email with my address...I prefer a CD to ftp...but thanks

for offering Mazda!

Looks like you had alot of fun!

So running without spares? I presume that someone had the spares in the backup cars?

Any more pics? Close ups?
