Ruadhd2
On craigslist in Silver Spring, MD. Near DC. The listing says local pickup only, but I would ship these for USA7 members at the lowest Fedex cost for ground or business delivery. These are boxed up. scannon
It looks from the pictures that there are two different sizes in diameter and the text suggests that there are two different bolt circles.
Ruadhd2
how do you tell they are different sizes?
TheDingo8MyBaby
I think it may just be the photograph that makes the wheels look like they're different diameter. It also may be helpful to list the backspacing/offset? Typically this may be written on the wheel "14x7 - ___" or can easily be measured. So what you're saying is two of the wheels have the bolt spacing 4x100 and the other two are 4x114.3? This makes it tricky to sell because not many cars use two different bolt spacings. Ruadhd2
The four wheels are identical in size, etc. I'll look for other pics, but it was the sunlight and angle. Tell me the easy way to measure offset, etc.
MHKflyer52
Ruadhd2, Turn the wheels over so the mating face to the hub is facing up. Place a straight edge across the bead (use a level) and measure from the face of the wheel to the bottom of the straight edge and that is the offset for the wheel. Hope this helps. Skip is correct I have told you how to find the back space. The offset is the distance the wheels center matting face is from the center line of the wheel and can be either negative or positive. Measure the distance from bead to bead to find the width of the wheel then measure the distance from the rear bead to the mating face and then thak half the width of the rim and subtract the distance from the wheel center and you should have the offset in either positive or negative. below is a picture that explanes it much better than I can. http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11405&stc=1&d=1206194833 http://image.minitruckinweb.com/f/9904878/0611mt_01_z+offset_wheels+offset_chart.jpg http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn270/300cars/motivational%20posters/2u6ptuq.gif Edited December 8, 2011 by MHKflyer52 Clarified backspace and offset. scannon
I think you have back space mixed up with offset. Offset is the distance between the center line of the rim (width wise) and the mating surface. Negative offset being towards the face of the wheel and positive offset being towards the back side. My Caterham has an offset of 20mm. If it had a backspace of 20mm the wheels would be really deep dish and hanging out mostly beyond the wings.
