Vaxhaull Engines?

I am novice and I am considering the Cat over the Atom for a few reasons.

 

My use is mixed, Autocross mostly, some track and weekend driving.

 

I wanted to know more about Vaxhaull engine cars, A used old one may be more in my budget

 

I just saw one with a reworked Vaxhaull engine is a 2001 R+

Great engine tbh,have it in turbo form,and so far its all good!

Am in Europe and had parts from the states before.
