bball7754 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Used my new Hybrid Pro Rage at a track day two weekends ago, and discovered after the second session that the exposed bolts on the back of the restraint had removed the finish on the leather seat. I put tape over both the screws on the restraint and my seat, and I think that prevented further damage. Could be worse, but obviously not thrilled. Steve
jlumba81 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Try putting a rubber hose on the end of the bolts.
blubarisax Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 My Hybrid Pro rubs on my CF seats too! Just a little wear on the device label. Still fits better than a HANS device I think. I will say the Hybrid Pro works well though. I had a bit of a crash while wearing mine. No neck strain at all, just a bruise on my back from the strap pulling on impact. I definitely recommend wearing some type of neck restraint. Karl

Steve Hi Steve, Get some black shoe dye at a shoe repair store and apply a couple light coats on the worn areas and then buff with a shoe brush. If the leather is rough you might want to use and emeroyboard to buff the surface just a little to smooth it out but use caution as you can go thorugh quickly if your not carefull. Hope this helps.
rnr Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I had the same issue the first time I used the Rage in my Elise with leather seats. I put strip of duct tape on the seats when I track and its been fine after that. In the case of the Seven I have a cloth racing seat and haven't had any issues
