This documentary was posted on the Locost_Noth_America site by one of the members (Greg Wellwood of Kelowna BC Canada) who has built his Locost 7. I think a lot of the members of this group will enjoy it also.

One word though if you are not on a broadband conection it will take a while to down load as it is about 700mb and plays for just over 55 min's.

Enjoy.

Big thanks Martin - I was waiting on a copy from the UK. Have only watched 10 mins so far, but looks like a good old fashioned BBC documentary (and I mean that in a good way). Narrator is John Peel, a lengendary British DJ, who died a couple of years ago - wonderful to hear his voice again!

I've watched the whole thing now... glad the thing with Reynard did not work out, it would have been the end of Caterham IMHO  But not the end of the Seven - not while there are folks like you lot out there :hurray:

Tricky situation - father builds the biz, son takes over (inherits?), tries to stamp his own mark on the company. Can't fault him for trying, but when the company, product and brand are one and the same thing (the Seven), it's a little tricky to try to play the brand extension game...

I watched it last night, and realized that I had seen it before...some other Se7ener had mailed me a bootleg back when blown hose clamps were but a glimmer in my eye.

It's funny that the car that Reynard might have made looked a lot like an Atom. IMHO, the CSR has been a great evolution of the original, front engined concept. I don't love the squared off from fenders though, no matter how aero they are.
