Maybe it would fit on my Cosworth Duratec motor!

It would, the question is is there space under the bonnet for it? It is a fairly compact unit but it does hang on the intake side of the motor.

Already in the works. From the press release on the Caterham UK web pages:

The latest variant of the Seven can be bought as a new car or existing R300 owners can upgrade their vehicles to R600 spec.

However, I believe this is most likely intended for owners of R300s who are/were participating in the R300 race series to modify their existing cars for this new series rather than having to get the new car, and not for those with road cars seeking more power... but who knows?

Some designs are so original, and so iconic, subsequent redesigns that stray from the basic concept are doomed: see, e.g., 911, Mustang, Mini, and (IMHO) se7ens, etc.
