Hettric
The top that came with my car has been rolled up for 15 years, the clear vinyl windows have small (3/32") white spots throughout. There is some areas that have a surface texture similar to the top fabric that overlay/match the spots suggesting it had to do with contact with the top fabric all that time. But the spots are consistent throughout all areas of the clear vinyl - there could not be consistent contact from the folded/rolled storage so it must a issue with the clear vinyl itself. Any suggestions? Thanks
scannon
There are several polishes out there from Maguires and such. Usually in a scratch remover and a separate final polish. They might fix the problem.
Hettric
Thanks Skip, I will try cleaner/polish, but what I'm really asking is if anyone has experienced this, it looks like the spots are in - not on the vinyl, like the material itself has degraded somehow. I should say the top is like new otherwise.
DeanG
I've had white spots on the back window of my MGB. I don't recall any texture. They seemed to be caused by creases. I had good luck with 3M products that were for boat vinyl.
