jlumba81
Just had the pleasure of doing business with eurospeed.com.au. I had trouble sourcing some T9 parts out of the UK mainly due to lack of email response, out of stock or that they don't ship to the US. They have very quick response by email I got a reply from them within 30 mins and within 2 business days received my shipping invoice. I would have been faster but I caught them close to closing hrs on a friday. Shipping by DHL was slightly more than stuff from the UK (less than $5 difference). Up in Alaska, unfortunately, I'm used to paying $40 or so for shipping. They are: Australian Quaife Distributor T9 5 speed Ford Sierra specialist Sierra Diffs for Clubmans Hewland and Holinger specialists They also mentioned that they supply "cambered rear floating hub setups to suit, we have found that people can gain up to 2 seconds a lap from a Seven with a cambered rear end." In their pdf catalog they sent me also had various duratec parts: water rail, various ways to mount the alternator, throttle bodies, etc. I'm not getting anything for advertising them, just happy with the customer service and letting others in the 7 community know about them. You can contact them at sales@eurospeed.com.au
maurice1
Hi All I have used Eurospeed for numerous bits on my Duratec powered Birkin. Geoff (owner) of Eurospeed makes some beautiful parts for the Duratec 2.0 and 2.3 litre engines. My T9 BGH gearbox is from Eurospeed, I am lucky I only live 20 minutes drive away from from his factory here in Brisbane. Cheers Maurice
Robert O. Urfer
Why not source T9 parts from the many Merkur XR4TI sources. Seems a heck of a lot easier than ordering from Australia. Same thing goes for Sierra diffs both 7" and 7 1/2" readily available from Merkur guys.
James A
What is a cambered rear floating hub ? I understand the rear camber plates and the hub set up but m not sure what is meant by floating hub.
jlumba81
Not sure about the rear camber setup. It was just mentioned in one of my emails but I haven't received the details yet. I tried a couple Merkur sites but they didn't have the parts or didn't respond to my emails. Fyi I just had parts shipped from Cali 2 day and it was $10 more than from Australia and they weigh about the same .5 lb. I tend to receive parts faster from the UK than I do from the lower 48. The part I ordered from Eurospeed were the 5th gear retaining nut and the spacer/washers that hold the needle bearing in place on the layshalf. Ian7
Not sure the extent to which they still stock T9 stuff, but there's an incredible place in Plano, Texas called Taylor race Engineering for quaife, gearboxes, diff's, rebuilds, etc etc
dvl
I purchased a Type E "Rocket" transmission (4-speed from which the T9 was derived) gasket kit from Taylor a few weeks ago. They definitely still stock T9 type parts. Dave

James A
The individual who did the T9 work and Sierra Diff work for Taylor Race Engineering left and started Taylor Race Preparation, his name is Dan Taylor and has done a Sierra diff for me already. Dan can be reached at taylorraceprep@aol.com And Taylor Race Engineering also continues to stock parts for and repair T9s.
jlumba81
Got an update on that rear camber setup. They have another website that they are still updating, but it has some info. http://www.raceproducts.net Oh also received the parts I ordered yesterday. It took 4 days (2 day air) from Australia to Alaska, which is faster or as fast as 2 day air shipping from the lower 48. Klasik-69
I sent an email to Jeff W. at Taylor Race engineering to try to get a seal kit for the T9. I got a reply saying he was going to check to see what he could dig up (?????) I also saw a link for Quantum Mechanics in Connecticut. I sent an email there too to John to see what he had...........no reply. Maybe this is why people use the supplier in Australia. Extra for the freight for sure but service has a price. Klasik-69
I had emailed Burton Power about the kit and also about their advertised T9 tranny for 600 UK lb. I got a very quick reply advising me that they have the seals and gaskets individually in their e-catalogue and to order what I needed. They also advised that the T9 gearboxes are no longer available without an exchange/rebuild basis, and as such have a long waiting list for available cores that are re-buildable. Not good news if you have a T9 and it takes a dump. I ordered the seals this morning. I ordered duplicates of all the gaskets and only one of each input and output shaft seal. All together with shipping to Florida and taxes, cost was $68. I also heard very quickly back from Eurospeed in Australia. However, thru no fault of theirs, the kit and shipping would be over $110 USD but it would be here in 2 or 3 days with DHL. It isn't their fault that we're about 12,000 miles away. They appear to be very professional and well stocked.
