Kitcat
Nice! The Caterhams seem to have a hp advantage and the X-bow a braking advantage w/cornering abt the same? What spec engine in the X-bow and approx power of your 2.3 Cosworth?

It is a night and day difference that is more apparent than normally mentioned. MvP

What spec engine in the X-bow and approx power of your 2.3 Cosworth? I am now in Spain for the dealer meeting and testing the new R 485! I will post some racing videos soon. X-Bow, Slicks and 360 BHP. The reason for braking and performance is the good aero of the X-Bow. My 2.3: 280 BHP Cosworth, SADEV with paddleshift, Nitron 1-way, 8"+10" BBS on Formula Renault Slicks, +40mm wider rear wings.
Kitcat
It seems odd that with better aero and an extra 100 hp the X-Bow is slower on the straights? Look forward to the R485 posting, 1st I have heard of it. Does 485 reference its weight in kilos? Edited April 29, 2013 by Kitcat
Croc
The X Bow is 1700lbs dry before driver and fuel. My CSR is 1270lbs dry. 100hp is not a lot to deal with the extra weight penalty. Also aero does slow top speed slightly. The 485 is probably hp per ton if it is following the past R500 nomenclature?
Joachim Westermann
The 485 is an amazing car for the EU and Japanese market where the COC is necessary. The CTI job is superbe!
