2003 Caterham SV for sale. Asking $27,500 BO.

 

This is a 2003 car with a Ford Zetec engine (not SVT). The car is registered in PA as a Specially Constructed Vehicle.

 

I am posting for a friend and am happy to provide more info if you have questions. I drove the car this past weekend.

Car has the 5 speed tanny.

thx for info, but there are many 5-speed transmissions that fit a 7. When you ordered it, did they discuss options? if not, likely the standard too-low-first-5-speed. Any way you could find out?

It probably has the same 2.8 t9 gearbox my SV came with. 3.36 1st gear.

Not sure Matt, I tried the email add, which does not work, then a message a long time ago,nothing back, I think others here have not had much luck either in contact,in any event does not inspire confidence to a potential buyer..

Yes, this car is still for sale. Gary (Kess) put the ad in for me while I was dealing with another matter. Since he has been busy, and I have dealt with my other issue, I can directly address information on the car.

 

First, this car is the exact car that was in the following reviews:

It was built by Caterham USA in Colorado.

 

Since then, a racing cam has been installed (I still have the old one) and the catalytic converter has been replaced with the competition exhaust (I don't have the cat). Also, it had some front end damage that was professionally restored by GT Classics. I have detailed notes of the repair and can provide references on its history.

 

One other thing is that the car will be leaving VA soon for my new home in AL. GT Classics has been kind enough to store it for nearly six months since the repairs were completed, but it is time for me to move it.

The SV is now in Madison, AL, which is just to the west of Huntsville, AL. It arrived today.
