TurboWood
Hi Gents, Can anyone confirm the dimensions of the 2L or 2.3L Duratec is the same as the attachment? I found this while searching the web so I don't know if it's truly for this engine or not. Thanks, Daniel
xcarguy
I don't know actual dimensions, but I did learn from my previous Birkin ownership experience that the 2.3L Duratec is a bit taller than the 2.0L Duratec. The following link may provide some answers: http://duratec.wikispaces.com/Duratec_Engine_Specs X :seeya:
SkinnyG
Some measurements I wrote down a while back of the 2.0 in my shed. They ~should~ be reasonably accurate. Pan to crank: 9" Crank to top: 17.5" Height: 26.5" Pulley to bellhousing flange: 20" Width @ crank @ front: 13" The 2.3 is for sure taller (but I don't have one to measure). Scottmkiv
I've got a duratec 2.3 on a stand in the garage.
TurboWood
Scott, Would it be possible for you to take a few dimensions? From the link provided by xcarguy I capture that the deck height of the 2.0L is 216.92mm. I recall reading that the 2.3L is about 10mm taller than that. If you could just measure from the crank center line to the bottom of your oil pan (are you dry sump?) and from the deck to top of valve covers, that would be great. Thanks and regards, Daniel
