I own S1 number 53 of 56 with approximately 2,000 Miles on it. Built in 2004. Have complete build records from original owner. Two sets of wheels and tires...the original silver set with less than 500 miles on them, and a set of black RAYS forged aluminum wheels with Falken Azenis tires. Pictures show both. Also includes a cotton cover.

There are very small and minor rock chips on the lower front edges rear fenders (all 7s get them), otherwise the body is perfect. I have the top assembly, although I have never taken it out of the box.

It is titled in my home state of Texas as a 1965 Lotus Seven and is free and clear and in my possession.

As the ad posting mentions, it has a top. There are no other options except the second set of wheels and tires and the cover. It has the Zetec 2.0 with Weber injection that has been properly tweaked. The original Dyno Rated HP is 187 according to the engine builder's charts.

Steve,

I know these have been out of production for quite a few years but how is the parts situation... is a windshield or a body part even available?

I read that many were impressed by the quality of general build but often dissed the handling , partic the rear set up with mumford and sons.

What are your thoughts on the pros and cons of the S1?

PS :do they or can they carry a spare, and don't they have a lockable storage are in the back?

The rear storage is lockable. You might be able to fit a very small space saver spare in there...I haven't tried. The handling was "dissed" by one anonymous guy in an autocross video on the net. There was no basis for his comments or reference provided of his credentials to justify his comment on the car. Frankly, it sounded like someone with a inherent bias (kind of like the lifelong Ford vs Chevy feud). And, there is no information provided as to the tires, set-up, or skill of the driver mentioned.

If you search the forum, you will see that I also owned a Westfield Seven previously. I don't want to start a feud here, but the S1 is a much better handling car when set up properly. Naturally, as with any car, you have to be willing to invest the time in setting it up (ride height, corner balance, alignment, spring rates, damping settings, etc.). I was pleased when I made the switch.

Hello. It appears that I can not send a private message... I have attempted to send you several messages, but only the first message (to which you replied) appears in my sent items. Please contact me via the contact info on that first message as I would like to learn more about your S1. Thanks.
