First drive review: Caterham 620R

Recommended Posts

I saw the promotional material a while back and became obsessed with the key that comes with the car. Unfortunately Caterham will not be selling them like they do the plastic key fobs covers. :toetap05:

I'm actually talking to a machinist about a one off design similar to it. He's in one of my other forums, and does CNC machining for a living. The cost would be high for the program, but does come down on a per key fob basis.....

I have a SoldWorks model of the key fob if someone wants to make them I can send them an STL file so they can make it out of aluminum.

Here is a JPEG file of what it looks like exploded to see the parts.

That looks brilliant. A chap I was chatting with has some ideas too. Looks like there is some interest to my silly thought of the key cover.

I have a fellow that I have followed up with for an aluminum key handle who is local. He's not so interested in a large run of them though. I will follow through as he was so generous with his time so far.

It does look similar to yours Martin, which I like very much as well.

I could 3d print that solid works file...

OK if you want the STL files for the top and bottom send me an e-mail and I will send you the files. MHKflyer52 at g-mail dot com.
