lancylad
Spent a few hours yesterday removing tar and asphalt from the engine and chassis...I did the local municipality a favor by removing the top three inches of one of their pot hole repairs....the front of the oil pan has battle scars but no holes our leaks. Phew! :ack:
Klasik-69
What is your clearance under the engine pan ? I'm at around 3 3/4" and haven't hit anything yet.
Z3 Stalker
Klasik-69 you obviously have not driven in Alberta, the further north you go the worse it gets
jimrankin
Hard to explain frost heaves to a Florida resident. :-)! Just think of Florida sink holes that the road crews "overfill" so that cars and trucks can pound them flat. Only problem is coming across one before the heavy high clearance cars have flattened it out. At least in Canada you have frost heaves to blame, here in Cakifornia it's just bad road repair,
lancylad
I only have two inches of clearance.....:ack:
rikker
I only have two inches of clearance.....:ack: 2 inches really... that is asking for trouble on the road, anywhere. By the way , is that lowest point the oil pan, apart from that what is the next low point?
lancylad
That is the lowest point. I have the 1.9 cvh Ford , I also have an oil pan marked out ready to be shortened, another of those things on the to do list.
