Tony
I've watched USA7s for close to four years waiting for just the right Seven. Missed a few, but finally took the plunge. Bought it from Chris T. at Sevens & Elans. He gave it a thorough detailing and fixed some basic wiring and mechanical problems. It has just over 4K miles on it, runs well, no drips and looks great. And of course, won't be long before Illinois weather turns unfriendly to Sevens....... It's been over 40 years since I owned my Lotus S2 Seven, so it's all a bit new, again. I have the original Assembly Manual for this Seven, but would like to find something that covers basic maintenance for Sevens. Any suggestions? I'll have a few months soon to go over it with a fine tooth comb..... Suns out, got to go for a spin.......
11Budlite
Nice looking ride, enjoy! I would think the best book would be Tony Weale's "Lotus Seven: Preparation, Restoration and Maintenance". It's a pretty expensive book at this point but it has a lot of good info in it and covers Caterhams as well. I take very good care of my copy. Here are some Amazon listings: [/url]http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/185532153X/sr=/qid=/ref=olp_tab_used?ie=UTF8&colid=&coliid=&condition=used&me=&qid=&seller=&sr=
centerfireman
There is a gentleman in Britain that fairly routinely sells brand new reprints of Tony Weale's book (in paperback) for about 1/2 of what the used copies are going for on Amazon. That is where I purchased mine but (unfortunately) I do not remember the sellers name. I see them several times a year on eBay. Hope that helps... Tony
Googled Tony Weale's book on Sevens and found one in the UK for 40 pounds including postage. Thanks for the heads up on this book. Just arrived.
