bigdog Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Has anyone added a heater to an already built Caterham with a X-Flow? Is it a PITA or is it a straight forward project? Thanks
locost7018 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Pretty straight forward on my xflow locost. The intake manifold on mine had a fitting from the water pump and I just spliced it to that. I added a couple of ball valves to divert the water for heat or no heat. I have an aftermarket heater in the engine compartment that provides heat to the interior. Would have been nicer if I could have had the heater in the interior but could not find one at the time. I think there are several smaller heaters out there now that could mount in the skuttle. Russ
scannon Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I think some Caterham owners have removed their heaters. Maybe a request to buy one of those in the parts for sale/wanted area of the forum might find one. After that it should be a bolt in modification.
