slngsht
SCannon notified me the site is down. Thanks Skip, and thanks LocostV8 for verifying - since my internet connection was having issues at the same time. Looks like everything is up and running again. I think we were out for about 3 hours.

slngsht
Here's what I got back from Support: Dear Customer, Our network is under a massive DOS attack which used up the capacity of the physical cable (Gigabit) to our router. We are working with our upstream provider to identify the IP addresses who initiated the DOS and attempt to terminate the incoming traffic from their network. We will update you as soon as we have any further update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

slngsht
I have been getting updates from the hosting provider. They have been very reliable for the last 2 years, but the events of the last 2 days have been pretty frustrating. I also have my day job hosted with them on a different account, so they've really impacted my life. Dear Customer, We are experiencing another network-wide outage similar to yesterday as the result of a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack. We are working with our upstream provider to bring services back online as quickly as possible and to identify the source and target of these attacks. Please be aware that we do have a DiscountASP.NET emergency status page, located at http://www.daspstatus.com. In the event of any network-wide outage like this one, the status page will be updated to provide you with as much information as possible. We hope such a page will allow us to communicate more effectively during an emergency situation, or when normal support office channels are affected by an outage. Right now, there is no ETA, but measures are been placed. We hope to resolve the issue sometime today. As you are aware, this attacks attempts usually continue until the party responsible gives up Thank you for your continued support,
