Onken
Hi, I've been to Magny cours last week playing/fighting with Porsche 996 cup and 997 cup. I was faster than all 996 but 50% of the 997 were faster. I had great great fun, first time that cars were so fast on track. they were porsche cup driver that may be the reason. Enjoy I did some night session too, I'll send you later! Onken Edited June 8, 2014 by Onken add video

Kitcat
Very nice! I loved the reverse camera, esp the shot of the Porsche's drift thru the turn at about 2'35'' as he starts overtaking you. Sort of hard to believe the Caterham cld be so competitive against such high hp Porsches. Ever think of a HANS unit? Your head sure is bobbing, tho you wld have to use your mirrors, no more head swiveling.

I also need more practice in general and on this track. Sure I have thought of an Hans but I need a new helmet and that cost. I am using a lot my mirrors and I know exactly were cars behind are but as it's a track day I don't want to lock them and I prefer to let them pass then catch their wheels. xcarguy
Onken, Great video! Ditto on capturing the drifting Porsche; very cool indeed. I just purchased my first Hans ever. I figured it was past time if I'm going to run my car on a track at the edge of my limitations. Purchased a Sport II 20 degree large which weighs a bit more than the Pro model, but less than the Sport. And it costs a little more than half the money of the Pro. When I first started shopping Hans units, I had to get past the sticker shock. I fully understand that track days in general are expensive and that we have to sometimes prioritize expenditures; at least I have to. However, you can get into a helmet/Hans combo for around a grand (Hans Sport II and G-Force helmet for example). You're driving a hi performance car in a hi performance environment. Your life is worth much more than a grand. Can you afford not to use a Hans? I consider the Hans, and arm restraints, as two of the best safety devices I've invested in. Again, great video and thanks for sharing.

I'm also building my company so money has to go somewhere else than in an helmet, track days, hans... Unfortunatly only one track day this year.
