devanmc
Alright, So I am new here, obviously. I dont own a 7, I own a focus SVT. I do know how ever that many people run the 2.0 zetec motor in the 7. Which is what lead me here. So my question, are there any tuners in the great lakes area that are good with tuning the zetec platform?

sdaddy
I agree. There's lots of info on http://www.focusfanatics.com/ There are fundamental differences when the same motor is in a "7" such as throttle body injection or Webber carbs, straight through headers, etc. Tom on http://www.focusfanatics.com/ is a common and valuable resource between the forums. :hurray:
Automoda
I'm currently fiddling with the tune on my ZX3 with ITBs. I use a MS2. I'm getting it to run better, but it is all for naught. I think I'm going to take it to the local dyno expert and pay the $$$ to get it done. I'll post the tables and settings and even the MS2 file when I"m done. Klasik-69
I ran into this with my Zetec 2.0L. Running ITB's and using a Pectel T2 ECM. Once I got into the nuts & bolts of this, it all made sense. Two important aspects of tuning are the fuel maps and ignition maps. I used a local dyno shop. We ran for about 2 1/2 hours on the dyno. I was on the laptop, the dyno shop owner was on the dyno computer and his helper ran the car. We did run after run looking at AFR, adjusting for each rpm grouping for the fuel maps. Following that, we did the ignition. He charged me about $260 for the dyno & his time. Now I know how to tune it so I can make changes as I need, and I didn't lose my shirt doing it. A lot of this has to do with how accessible your ECM is
