  1. Cool stuff! My kid is only 7weeks and i'm planning out his first Solo allready! I think i might have a problem
  2. I will be coming down for the day to check out everyones 7's. Mine is still on the build table. pray for nice weather! Ken
  3. I also don't see anything locost related? Here is a screen dump of what i see. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y205/KENLUDE97/0-60.jpg
  4. Here is a Caterham. I know that it is out of your price rage.... ( i thought it was lower) but i figured that too much info is better than not enough http://www.lotusowners.com/ForSale/Vogel%20Seven/index.htm Good luck.
  5. There is a great site for building a "locost", here is a link for beginning builders. Good luck http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1030
  6. Any thought to chassis flex? With the big/powerful engine are you running any additional tubes for stiffness?
  7. I would like to wander up to the event this weekend. I have not attentended this event yet, it allways seams that something else falls on this date > Mike are you bringing your 7? Bummer xflow7 about the regestration. I would like to talk to you about your regestration and build process. Did you build the car? Is this the first time the car is being regestered in NYS? Thanks ken My build here. http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2293&start=15&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

    Not fair

Neither does Mass State police. I travel to Plymouth Mass every few months and i often see people pulled over by there unmarked car, Mustang Crown Vic (not so suprizing) Dodge Avanger (Suprizing) to get pulled over by it after you pass him! So keep your eyes open on the Mass Turn pike.
  9. I hope that i did not come off malicious. I didn't mean that if i did. I just didn't see it as a safe idea. I'm a local Solo Chairman and Tech inspector. I'm not sure that i would let a car with DR's run at a autox. I think that it is a safty risk. But like kitkat said i bet it left like no other! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/reddevil.gif I will be battling traction when i get my locost built With a L67. And one of the ways that i HOPE to take care of it is just tires... I plan to run 245/45/17 (Falken 615's) on the street (stock mustang GT tire size) LOTS of options and to race i think that i would swap out the rears for a 275/40/17, Same rolling diameter. with some race rubber. Good luck with your adventure in tires. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/coolgleamA.gif Ken
  10. Drag radials in auto-x?! Are you mad? Granted they have great grip but they have NO sidewall! That tire will roll over all the time! I have a good buddy that runs the BFG KD's on the street and BFG Drag Radials at the track and sometimes on the street. He says that they are SCARY on the street. They have no feedback and are squirmey(sp) He runs these on his 650whp Supra. I would not think that these would be safe and fast. Wouldn't it be better to change the rim diameter up to like a 16 or 17 and then you can use a Hooser A6 or a Kuhmo. Good luck Ken
  11. A Supra diff is a good idea. They are very strong. My good friend has a MKIV Supra that puts down 630whp and 538w ft/lbs on low boost (20-25 i don't recall the actual psi) And he has been doing this for.... 3 years. Granted it ONLY gets driven on sunny days durring the summers here in NY. And that is with a good amount of track time, Drag racing on Drag radials, and street runs. It has seen a good amount of abuse. It finally gave out at the end of this summer. (kind of a suprize that it did give out) And this is on a full bodied car ~3500lbs. Here is a picture of how it gave out. There also is a TRD LSD on order for it... and the rumor is that all the 1000whp+ guys run this LSD with very good results. http://www.elmiracalvarynaz.org/mike/lsd2.jpgKENLUDE972007-01-18 08:21:07
  12. Maybe a "media" section For pics and vids?
  13. Stalker Clone With 442 chassis Wheel base= 95" Length= 133" Rear tread & fender width= 70" front tread & fender width = 70 Cockpit width (outside)= 46" Roll bar height= 48" I have drawn 99% if the car and these are the dimensions that i have came up with. But that is what its looking like.
  14. HOLY $%^&&*( I feel young http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/eek6.gif 27 currently. I will be starting my build shortly. I hope it to on;y take 3 years to build and put on the street.
  15. www.locostusa.com obvious reasons www.locostbuilders.co.uk/ again obvious www.preludeonline.com because i own a 1997 Prelude www.607motorsports.com A local car club www.supraforums.com A interesting forum and a dream of mine to own a MKIV supra and countless others that are enteraining to read.
