  1. The MCC 7 should probably be classified as a project...it's less complete than the Dutton.
  2. From Post #4 written by OP/seller: "...I purchased it on the spot in ~2012. Otherwise it looks like the day I bought it with about 1500 more miles." 666/year came from overall mileage divided by overall age. OP bought used 8 years ago and has only put 1500 miles on it since then (indeed. unfortunate) If he can sell it for what he paid, the registration and insurance each year might be making it >$1/mile to own (which might be an even worse way to think about it). 3. Anyone know what the listed price was at WW? The BAT auction has a reserve...

  5. I'd be skeptical of making 300 hp (even @ crank) after removing the intercooler....safely/reliably, that is. Happy to be wrong, AP
  6. The ad says 2.0L but the valve cover suggests a late 80s turbo 2.3L out of a T-bird. The slump in the middle is clearance where the throttle body lived. The intake has been cut and rewelded to allow the tube to come from the front for lower a hoodline and do away with the underhood intercooler those cars had. AP
  7. Not sure if this should be listed here or the Parts FS section: Caterham Super 7 https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/el-verano-lotus-caterham-super-7/7104081025.html

  9. Lotus S4 https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/d/ardmore-lotus-seven-series-4/7039890730.html Replica. Diva? Not sure. I think it's new to the market...didn't see it on Croc's New/Repeats list https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/ctd/d/scottsdale-15300a-lotus-absolutely/7038042995.html

  11. Oh, FFS. Seriously? This is not eBay or a contracted auto auction like Barrett-Jackson. How many "OBO" advertisements do you think have been placed every day of every week since the dawn of used vehicle advertisements? How many have gone to court because of the scenario you are describing? To the lawyer in you: In this context, define what "or best offer" means. AP
  12. That's the website for the University of Florida Formula SAE team. AP

  14. Interested. Underhood and trunk shots, please Also, location? Thanks, AP
  15. Nice! Looks great! There are several common questions buyers like to see: - What is your asking price? - Where are you located? - What is the engine? - What is the transaxle out of? - Is the suspension out of something standard? (This usually relates to the front and rear suspension knuckles/hubs/brakes...shocks and control arms are usually custom/aftermarket) - Do you have a title? If so, how is it titled? - Is it registered? (Assuming "no" due to lack of lights) Thanks, AP
  16. 2nd question: On each side where the back of the scuttle meets the top of the top frame rail there is (was?) what looks like a fairly heavy plate with a hole in it. Is this for a roll cage arm? If so, does it come with said roll cage? Thanks, AP
  17. Re: 4th pic (engine compartment): Given the full fenders, chrome headlights, and carbs this must have been an original configuration. Can you please post a pic of the current engine compartment? Thx, AP

  19. What's wrong with this thread? Is it private or something? The view count shows there's interest.
  20. FWIW, the Mk Indy seller must be gauging interest and adjusting his price. It was previously offered at 18.9k. Usually people that want to sell reduce their price if they actually want to sell and it's been on the market as long as this one has.
  21. In South Florida (where Pompano Beach is), unpainted steel will develop surface rust rather quickly even when stored in an unconditioned garage. I'd hazard a guess that it was purchased from CMC when they were still in business and has sat in that garage since then. I think the left-rear shock has leaked, too. I live within 10 miles of it and thought about it for a hot second but I'm willing to wait (and pay) for something closer to finished and/or driveable. It would be far easier, quicker, and cheaper to fit a rollbar and fix the airbox/hood on the Lexington locost that's currently on the market than it would be to complete this rolling chassis.
