  1. @SeattleTR --- Making progress??
  2. This is what I have on mine. Secured using command strips (I cut the silicone backing so the plate sits flush against the body. Looks clean. Seems solid.
  3. Looking forward to meeting you. Enjoy the build. Happy to help if you need it.
  4. Been enjoying my 7 all summer and finally made it out to the track. Here’s a lap at Ridge Motorsports Park…car felt fantastic. Sorry about the mic clipping. You might also hear the rivet heads moving around in the frame following the lowered floors getting installed. Will tackle that over the winter.
  5. Very cool!!
  6. Sorry I missed you!!
  7. I’ll be there - say hi
  8. British car day at RTC this weekend. Anyone planning to be there?
  9. 6’3” can fit fine in an S3 with lowered floors. Weight ends up being a bigger reason people don’t fit.
  10. Will do! Sorry to miss you!!
  11. Anyone planning to be at the All British Field Meet this Saturday? I'm not planning to enter the event but will plan to join as a spectator for a bit.
  12. Exciting! Enjoy!
  13. Thanks Jimmy! Can't wait to get on track this summer.
  14. Here’s a pic - it looks off center but that’s just the perspective from the photo. The registration stickers (not applied by me) are also crooked which makes the plate look crooked but it is in fact straight.
  15. I do have a light for the plate. Not sure if the bracket works with the new LED lights but looks like a cool solution. Will do some more homework - my command strip solution should work just fine.
  16. She’s got plates! Finally had my WSP inspection and managed to get her registered same day. Gonna be a fun summer. I just used command strips to mount the plate. Is that what most are doing? I’m not gonna drill the skin….
  17. Maybe next weekend if the weather holds up. Getting some paint work done this week but should have it back by weekend.
  18. @JohnCh Happy to help. I had an extra serving at dinner tonight in hopes that I will eventually fill out the XL seat with my scrawny frame 🤣
  19. Thanks @DemoDan. I did a trip permit for the drive home. After getting on the freeway I had a state patrol behind me almost immediately. No license plate, no mirrors - figured he’d pull me over but after following me for a bit he pulled alongside and I got off the freeway. Mirrors are on now (of course they didn’t actually fit without modification). @CrocThanks - your car is going to be the ultimate. I love the yellow roll bar as well. Bit of an adventure to get it right. Is also a nod to the 7 that got me hooked.
  20. Well it took longer than expected but yesterday was my first real drive. Drove home from Beachman Racing and added about 80 miles over the last two days. Still a few adjustments to make but Bruce did an amazing job dialing in the suspension and happy to finally enjoy the result of all the hours in the garage. Now just need to get proper road registration and some PPF installed. Inspection appointments are near impossible so may be a while. Look forward to some PNW blats as the weather improves.
  21. Happy 2022 to all. May your year be full of twisty roads devoid of traffic. Excited to finally get my 7 on the road this year.
  22. To roller or not to roller is really a garage-dependent question. Seems like most folks who want rollers have small spaces to accommodate. With more space I think it’s just added complexity. I went for the 3 jack stand method and didn’t have any times where I wished I could move the chassis. Taller stands would have been nice though.
  23. Bit dependent on how long it'll take to get the new floors in but hoping by end of November. Will find some chances to sneak out when weather cooperates.
  24. Floors getting replaced first.
  25. Next stop…Beachman Racing…
