  1. Here are some pics... In the first one, you see the only damaged part of the trailer... the side rail on the left of the pic was bent due to too much load - the support leg used to on that side. As you see on the right, it is now braced. I think I will just leave that alone... trailer looks perfectly straight (I followed it for 30 miles). http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1637369053_CIMG1611 (Small).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1153286791_CIMG1612 (Small).JPG http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1732309953_CIMG1613 (Small).JPG

  3. alright everyone, see you on the sunny side :yesnod:
  4. trailer thread? Well, I made no such promise. After alot of searching and being indecisive about what to do, I picked up a used trailer yesterday. It's a 16 foot double axle (1 with brakes) open trailers. I will need new fenders and lights, but I figured at $1100, it's a good deal. She has near-new tires, brake master and slaves. It has stow-away ramps, but they store on the side, not the back. It has a few nice features, such as built-in chucks and built-in racheting tie downs. It also has a mounting place for a winch (I just picked one up from harbor freight for $39 - it will probably only work once  ) She is already sandblasted and primed. I put about 90 miles on it with no load, and it pulls nicely.
  5. I will bring all my extra Rotus part... somebody may be able to assemble a whole new Rotus from my parts bin
  6. This is getting crazy... if service is not back to normal by Monday, I will be switching hosting providers. Sorry for all the down time folks :nonod:
  7. I think that is a cool idea. Through luck or will power or whatever, I think we have collectively formed a pretty nice open minded community of members who are generally accepting of sevens as a class of cars, and I think that's the most important thing to preserve and grow.
  8. I have been getting updates from the hosting provider. They have been very reliable for the last 2 years, but the events of the last 2 days have been pretty frustrating. I also have my day job hosted with them on a different account, so they've really impacted my life.
  9. Drew, VERY nicely done
  10. Good read. Life is tough as a small manufacturer.

  14. All, a SLIGHT change of plans... Scott Lentz found out that the local chapter of PCA (Porsche Club of America), and they are running a similar route at pretty much the same time we are. Scott contacted Ken Bullough from PCA, and they have agreed to have us tag along. We will still meet and start from the same time and place, and join the PCA folks at Mt. Airy. Here is a description of their event. I think it sounds great. I will send the people who have expressed an interest already an email shortly.

  19. for some reason, I just saw this post for the first time while I was searching for something else. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1491562973_bantam2.jpg This frame does not look very stiff to me at all. The whole center section is not well triangulated, and is not boxed in very well. My unedumacated guess is that it will flex alot. But that's just me.
