  1. JB here, S2 SB2182. I’ve noticed the same thing.
  2. If you get a tach conversion kit from Spiyda in the UK, it’s easy to do. I did it this winter on my 67 Elan. I did it because I switched to all LED lighting and a Suzuki samari alternator. https://spiyda.com/tachometer-electronics.html
  3. I looked under the Elan to check out the frame and see if Doctor Brown had converted to CV’s. It looked original to me and still was on rotoflex couplings. There were 4 Seven owners there, s2x3 and a s4, which was a nice opportunity to network and plan some parts swapping. JB
  4. As most of the cars , they needed some sorting (or in some cases full strip and rebuild) to make usable. The seven even had some loose suspension fasteners.
  5. Sure was a great price and a nice car too. Several Lotus and Seven owners there today and nice talking to them and comparing notes. The wobbly webs went cheap at $125 each as did the other seven bits.
  6. Me too. Nice collection of cars and stuff.

  8. Sorry to disappoint but those pictures are not of my car. Those are just reference photos and directional for my restoration.
  9. Here you go. I included a couple to show that the system on a seven is simple, with just holes in the sheet metal .
  10. Try this link to the lotus elan web site which has a color code list for lotus cars: https://cdn.lotuselan.net/original/3X/7/e/7ee6ee8b5ce74c35f4d5acf85fdab002ce2de76a.pdf
  11. Check these out and see if they help. Windscreen_Wiper_system.doc WiperSwitchMotor_logic.pdf windscreen%20wiper%20motor%20manual.pdf
  12. Look next to the brake/clutch mount. Should be stamped there. Alternatively, look at the tube in front of the seat cushions. See link below, first page post by Henry H..
  13. Still shown online here: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-6010-16K
  14. My S2 (SB2182) chassis number is read from the drivers seat, starts with a B, and has a top bit on the one to identify it as a 1 vs. an l. No additional plate. Have you reached out to John Watson ? He will be able to tell you which chassis number is correct. My guess is 1091.
  15. He’s was responding to me as recently as 10 or so days ago.
