Do you have a ballpark price in mind? Weight of the car? How's tight is the room in the cabin and footwells? Built to be a tight fit like an original 7 or a little more space for us flabby americans? What is the car titled as? Any more info along these lines greatly appreciated!

That car was sold by RNR on BAT less than a year ago for 45k. Huge money for a Brunton. Granted the finish work inside and out is exceptional. That interior is amazing but it is also the older design suspension and sans independent rear end.

Had an rz350 back in the day. Yamaha 2 stroke cafe bike. Ton of fun. Definitely wish I still had it. Very much collectible now. What are those bikes in the vid? Isle of Mann TT has always been insane!

Absolutely. I think the 7 with an rx7 drivetrain is an awesome combo too! Love the way they rev and sound. I'm not sure wankels are unreliable, they simply have parts that wear faster Than contemporary engines. Apex seals are the biggest fail point. Believe there are updated more durable ones available if these ever give out. 50-100k is a typical life span. That should be a hell of a long time with how many miles a 7 typically gets put on it! Having several 60s muscle cars, those motors rarely lasted 100k miles too. It's only modern piston engines that 200-300k miles without a rebuild is now kinda the norm.

GregM, congratulations! Let us all know what it's like. DSK 7s appears to be a rare bird. Well done. Car seemed to be a good buy.

Anaximander, I really regret not looking at that Mspec you bought, the last few times I was in soCal. Was for sale for ages and imagine you got a very good deal on it. I was hung up on getting an XL but really should have looked at and driven it at least. Likely would have changed my mind on waiting for the right xl to come along! If you decide it's time for it to find a new home some day, keep me in mind!

BruceK, Thanks for the lengthy and thoughtful answer. I'm really looking for an Ls3 Brunton. This would be an interim car to tide me over until the right Brunton comes along. I figure at the DSK's price, and if it's a good car, it should easily hold it's value. Something to have fun with at track days again and sunny day drives now that I'm living in an area with tracks close by again. (Was in Idaho the last 10 years. No road courses within 6 hours drive)

Was suggested I try to find a mechanic in the Phoenix area to look over that DSK since I can't make the trip there in the next month. Any idea what kind of mechanic to look for? With the rx7 drive train and being a newer replica, I'm not sure an old british specialist would be the way to go! Any mechanic references, ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was simply passing on what i was told by the owner. When he said solid rxy gen 2 diff, he must have 1 of those bits of info wrong.

Communicated with the owner of the DSK. I can't get to AZ to see the car but thought I'd pass on a couple more details about the car. Rear end is solid axle rx7 gen 2. Not known if diff is lsd but guessing it most likely is. Disc brakes in rear. Car has a set of front and rear sway bars the original owner never installed that will come with it in addition to the original nose cone.

For myself there are some things I don't love in the pics. The roll bar seems crazy high, the rear bumper and then the rear exhaust sticking at least a foot past the rear of the car. If I were closer I would certainly want to see how it looks and drives though. Could be a good buy with the way prices have trended up lately.

Watching this one Croc! I see you chatting with Goat in the comments on it. Looks like a nice build. It needs better seats, a windscreen and i think that fugly cage has gotta go. I still prefer a stalker XL but if this stays mid to low 20s i might have a go at it!

Could easily be a dead listing too. I have listed a car for sale on other car sites in the past. Some make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to ever take the listing down.
