I have (or had now) the paperwork for the extra muffler and the shop did say it was a muffler to quiet the car down.
-
Sold. Please give the new owner all the help you've given me when he inevitably finds himself here. Thanks to all who assisted with selling!
-
It was a resonator the previous owner added to quiet the car down. I have since had it cut off.
-
Suspending this post (Again) since the car is going to Bring a Trailer.

I sent you a private message with my phone number, as I do not post it publicly. I get enough spam.

That being said, if anyone is seriously interested please reach out to me and let's make a deal! My daily driver unexpectedly sold in less than 24 hours and I need this guy to be gone so I can replace my daily and stop riding my girlfriend's Z125 to work with the upcoming cold weather!

I did this morning, just before the pictures.

I will most likely be putting this car in an auction next week. Please let me know beforehand if you or someone you know is interested before that happens.

Hey guys, This is going to come as a surprise to some of you because it seems like I just bought this car (1 year ago), but I have decided to place it up for sale as some circumstances in my life have changed and it will not get the use I intended for it. I'm not a huge fan of things just sitting in the garage for most of their lives. Basically in my ownership I have sorted out the flaws I ran into. The car was brought back into the US by the previous owner after he was done serving overseas. It is RHD with a Vauxhall C20XE motor built by Swindon. Dyno sheet with the car shows 238 HP. Ford Type 9 gearbox with straight-cut gears is currently in the car. There's an entire extra crated gearbox with semi helical gears that comes with it. The car is standard chassis, standard floor. The things that have been done in my ownership: Engine has been removed to fix oil leak coming from rear main seal. Several other seals that were easy to get to were replaced while the engine was out. Entire drive belt and pulleys were also replaced at this time. The hole that was drilled into the bottom of the transmission to easily drain the fluid was leaking and we re-sealed that as well. The extra resonator added to the exhaust pipe for more sound deadening was removed. Coolant was flushed and refilled. Repaired a few wiring gremlins that were old and worn, one of which that caused the blinkers to hyperflash. Fuel pump relay and fuses related to the fuel pump were blown and replaced. A new battery has been put in. Extras: The car comes with a whole load of parts. The ones I can remember this morning are: Crated Type 9 gearbox with semi helical gears. Entire extra set of wheels and tires as well as an extra set of tires and some random one offs. Doors, roof and original heated windshield. I usually run the aero windscreen. Shower cap car cover. Wheel chock. Battery cutoff switch (Never installed) Entire binder of history that the previous owners kept. Originating from the original build order for the car. All services and parts bought for the car are kept in record. 18,xxx miles Please feel free to ask any questions, I'm sure there's things I missed. Shoot me a PM and I can give you my phone number to talk about it. I also have a video of a full walkaround while the car is warming up.

Such a small world. Strange we haven't run into each other yet. In literally the General Manager of a motorcycle gear store here and I worked at SpeedVegas for two years. And, I live up the street from SpeedVegas. Wonder if we have not realized we've seen each other somewhere. Lol. I'll shoot my number to you in a private message maybe we can get together and talk. I probably have some information that would help you regarding registration and getting the car worked on. And the SpeedVegas situation.

I primarily run my car with the aero screen. I have worked in the motorcycle industry all my life so I wear my motorcycle helmet when driving my car. It has a communication system so when my girlfriend is with me she wears her helmet with her communication system as well. Also works great for hearing GPS from my phone and music if I want. I will always wear a helmet with it when running like this. One reason is I have bad eyes that don't produce tears so I can't have wind rushing past my eyes. Other reason is when riding a motorcycle, I've been hit by decent sized rocks travelling at 80 mph and I don't recommend it. Hitting me in the chest while wearing leather I can feel it. I imagine getting hit in the face when only wearing something like goggles is probably not super fun times.

Don't remember if I've seen you around. I am in Vegas and drive my HPC fairly often. Looks good. I am local and can take a look at this car if anyone needs.

Can I get this in the US?

If you have anymore questions about it before the sale, there's a few of us that have the C20XE motor in our cars. Mine is a 94 HPC model. I'm in touch with a couple other guys who also have the motor. I'm still learning but I've amassed a fair amount of information for the car.
