  1. Mahalo!!!!!! And I see where the spring goes too :-)
  2. Perfect answer! Took mine for its first safety with the full screen and then took it off together with the front license plate! Next year....repeat!
  3. Hi Guys! Hope you all had a Happy Seven Weekend ;-) A few weeks ago my carbs caught fire so I sent them for a rebuild. I did it in a bit of a hurry and forgot where the throttle cable bracket attaches to the carbs .... yes I know...thats why we have cameras on our phones ;-) Or a working brain in our heads!!!! I think it is attached by the bottom cover screws closest to the motor, but not sure. (in the picture I have attached it to the front screws and I think that's wrong.) Also not sure where the return spring attaches to the bracket. It's a Crossflow 1600. Mahalo for the help!
  4. I guess that depends on the State. Are in hawaii I would assume they are not just because you can't have working windshield wipers, which is the law here.
  5. Believe me, I was in the same boat but found one on eBay for the same price as a red one and he would ship to Hawaii. Double!!!!
  6. Yes I know...... The guy that just rebuilt my carbs suggested it.
  7. Seems like the most logical place. Plus I got the chrome one which looks so cool. Sure wish I'd had mine when my carbs caught fire the other week!
  8. Actually I have been reading that it is far better close to the carbs or fuel rail so that spot is quite perfect. It is nice and it would be nice to see it more. Still looking and thinking!
  9. Thanks mate. That is exactly what I was thinking. I just noticed it and it would be perfect for the job. Mahalo!
  10. Hi guys! So I am going to fit a pressure regulator and gauge to my '95 Classic (1600 X-flow). I understand that the best place is close to the tank but it would be a major pain to access back there. I dont have a heater so there is loads of room in the engine bay area. Any thoughts or comments gladly received. Aloha!
  11. Thanks for the input guys. I just managed to get a Halguard shipped to me, so all good. Now where to mount it ;-)
  12. Late to the party. I am looking for a fire extinguisher for my 7. Had a carb fire the other day and it really woke me up!!!!! Is this one any good? Wanted to buy an H3R Halguard but cannot get one on Maui.
  13. Funnily enough, I actually installed my new ones yesterday👍 got them from Caterham. thanks for the thought. aloha
  14. Aloha. I lost 2 of my center caps when the car was shipped here so looking for 2 like these or a new set of 4. Not sure of the wheel make but the center hole is 60mm. Would prefer a green and yellow badge but the badges i can find. I don't mind a flat cap either. Mahalo!
  15. Many thanks mate! I still need to get mine registered here.....between some basic car issues and the weather, have not been able to yet. We have the 25 year rule for reproductions and hot rods etc but still need safety every year. At least it makes getting it registered easier. We have our safety stickers and reg sticker attached to the rear plate. Hopefully end of this week I will get it over the line. Then I will start on the screens. Aloha!
  16. Great info...mahalo! What size bolts/nuts did you use for the screens? Yes I do have the Easy Swap. I will need to change the screens for safety inspection every year! Aloha!
  17. Thanks 7Westfield. Yes I saw that one but did not buy as i could not see how it looked in the back. Have one coming from Halcyon now. Twice the price but....
  18. @The Stig Yes it does but I wanted to avoid mirrors with studs and I prefer the larger glass on a Halcyon. But thanks for the suggestion.
  19. Yes I was just confused by your Moss reference. Yes found it on the Classic Parts site. mahalo! Just ordered the Halcyon and waiting the for the sides to get back in stock. I do have questions regarding the fitting of the screens and mirrors to the hoop. I get a good idea about the positioning from the photo. I assume that you have to counter sink the screen and mirror holes in the back of the hoop and use stainless countersunk screws to attach them. Looks like the mirrors come with the screws needed but not the screens. (not very nice considering the price!) Looks like you used domed nuts on all fixtures. There are 2 small holes pre drilled in the hoop about 3 inches from center. Is this where you put the inside leg of the screens? Thanks you very much for the help. Aloha
  20. @Dwight Hi mate. Could not find the center mirror on the Moss site. Probably being dumb! The sides are OOS at the moment but i will reserve a couple. Wonder if I can ask you a couple of questions about installing the aero screens. Aloha!
  21. I have just purchased a set of Brooklands Aero Screens with behind the wiper mounting hoop for my '95 S3 Caterham. So now I am looking for a rear view and 2 side mirrors to fit. I know I have seen some recommendations somewhere but am not finding them right now. Mahalo!
  22. Many thanks @Croc LOVE your car!!!!!
  23. Mahalo Carl!
