  1. Not sure how it happened, but I have a broken (left side, front tube broken at the engine) motor mount. Anyone know if this is a common problem? Rich
  2. Thanks for all of your help. Kitcat, what kind of 15" wheels are you running? 15" would give a lot more tire choices. I've already bought the 195 60 14's, but maybe 15" next time. I also talked to Ben at CATUSA. He was very responsive and helpful. Good support. Thanks Rich
  3. I'm planning on dropping the Caterham off for an alignment at a local shop. They have raced Formula Fords and Continentals for scores of years. They do the alignments on these cars so I am hoping they can do the 7 as well. Does anyone have alignment spec's for a 1999 Caterham Zetec DeDion? Street only. Thanks Rich ps. Owned the car for two years, always seems like it wants to wander. Just looking at it, it appears to have a large amount of toe out. Also replacing old tires with 195 60 14 Hankook R S2's.
  4. The weekend truly exceeded my expectations. - Dozens of fantastic cars. - A few laps around Talladega (30 degree banking, a new respect for the NASCAR group). - John's tour of Barber. Thank You John!
  5. Another short list, just two. A right hand drive S3 off a dealers lot in Spingfield Missouri, 25 years ago. And the Caterham I bought two years ago. Surprised how easy it was to get used to the right hand drive.
  6. Al, Thank you, I did receive the packet. Have fun on your seven search. Looking for one is almost as much fun as owning one! Rich
  7. Two for LOG, we were going to Branson.
  8. A couple questions for the people that know about the Superformance S1's. I saw a Utube clip of an S1 test drive (autocross). The driver loved the car but said it had some unique handling characteristics. He did not elaborate but did make some reference about the rear-end set-up. Are they known to have any handling concerns? Also, always interested in the cars, but could not figure out the 'fabric looking' piece above the windshield. Is that piece easily removed for normal driving? Thanks
  9. Thank you Skip, I saw the mirror you had on your SV when you were in Kansas City last summer. I bought one for my '99. It's like the wink mirrors you used to see on the SCCA production cars. No affiliation, bought mine at www.mirrorsforsevens.com. Not carbon fiber, not super cool, but you can see what's going on! Rich yellow nose
  10. Don't wait, it's on ebay with a $23,000 Buy-It-Now.
