  1. Thanks for the suggestion
  2. Haha believe me, if I could buy my own titled car, I would!
  3. Oh yeah, getting it titled was a effing nightmare! By SV, you meant the wide body chassis right?
  4. Hi all, I own a brand new 2022 Seven 360 R SV, which is undriven, unused, titled (in NYS), and I’m selling it! Reasons: 1. Lifestyle changes — I travel a lot, and between my day job and travel, I’m very exhausted, so it is very hard to leisure drive on weekends 2. Even if I did make time, getting an insurance has been a hassle, to say the least. Since I can’t seem to enjoy it as I’d hoped, I’ve decided to just sell it. I hope and wish someone else can enjoy it. The cool thing is you’ll be getting this brand new car, WITHOUT any wait time! If you place an order for a new one, it takes several months, if not a few years. I had to wait 2.5 years, but for you, it’s 0! I've attached the spec sheet and a few pics. All you’d be needing is an insurance policy, and vroom vroom!! Caterham Config - Final copy.pdf
  5. Hi all, I had a question about SAE markings on lens. Thanks
  6. Also, a follow up. Do I need the NYS assigned VIN to get the insurance? I’m trying to get an insurance with the Caterham manufacturer’s VIN, but it doesn’t seem to be sufficient.
  7. Hey guys, I have a question. I need insurance for my car, but a lot of classic/sports car insurers say that I should have daily car, which I don’t. Does anyone know an insurance which will insurance a sports car who doesn’t own a daily car? thanks
  8. I just realized that I ordered with a full weather kit, so the defroster should be there.
  9. Wait, did you call the NY DMV? Did you say that “Caterham Sevens replicate the old Lotus sevens?” or did they mention it?
  10. Right, yeah, I called them up directly. In addition to the 4 photos, they said they might look for padded dash and defroster. Not sure if it’s that much of a deal breaker for them to approve, if we haven’t submitted those. But you do make a good point about the 4 point seat belt; I’ll also submit photos of the seat with belt
  11. Hi guys, hope y’all are having a nice week. Had a question: for registration, did anyone had to submit photos of having a padded dashboard, and a defroster on their Caterham? If so, what did you do?
  12. What is this event, exactly? Like a meet up and driving around? Or something else?
  13. Yea, I was thinking Delux Car Storage in new Hyde park. Seems the closest.
  14. Haha, I have. but wanted to hear from word of mouth. thanks oh yeah, I would never drive in the city, even with a regular car! That’s a funny story about Times Square, you shared, lol
  15. Hi guys, I’ll soon take delivery of my 2022 Caterham 7. I live in NYC (Brooklyn). Does anyone know of a good, reliable, and most importantly SAFE garages in the city or nearby that I can use? I’ve looked into storage units, like cube storage, etc. Are they safe? Do they allow cars? -Arahant
  16. Hi guys, after a lot of research and consideration, I’ve decided to keep the car, and not sell it. Thank you all for the interest and feedback.
  17. Right. That is a good point. I’ll check with my dealer. But I was looking at the UK rules surrounding registering custom built cars. One can register LHD cars there, but it has to pass an inspection, which would be similar to registering it in NYS, for example. So, ultimately, as long as the car satisfies the inspection requirements, does it really matter what brad it is under? And, I have yet to register to it in New York. I guess I’ll know the legality of it after that. You do bring up some valid points, and I’ll check those out.
  18. Yes, the UK. Thanks, this was helpful.
  19. Right!? Apparently they don’t offer on the default spec, but I asked my dealer to ask them if they have other customizable options and they did. The same with the wooden steering. I never liked the Momo one. It looks like low end plastic. I saw the wooden steering on a Super Seven model online, and liked it. It has a very classic feel to it! And it looks gorgeous, imo!! I also want to have a bike rack on the rear roll bar, but maybe I’ll do that a few years down the line, haha Yes, I was referring to this one there.
  20. I see. I’ll update the pics
  21. Haha, yes, beachman. Thanks. I’ll update it.
  22. Hi guys, Hope y’all are having a fun snowy Saturday morning… I own a brand new 2022 Caterham 7 360 R, and I wanna sell it. It was ordered and professionally built by a U.S. Caterham dealer. It has a Red body, with Carbon fiber race stripes, has race seats, wooden steering wheel, contrast red leather cover for transmission and hand break. It comes with a full weather kit, has a rear roll bar, and gray alloy wheels. It has been road tested as well, so it runs fine. The only reason why I’m looking to sell it is that I’ve been moving a lot lately, because of work, and I might be doing the same this year, probably internationally. While I’m very excited for the move, because of that, it can become a nightmare to transport the car internationally, with every country having its own unique custom laws. And, I have no idea at this point how long I’ll be working outside of the US, so I don’t wanna pay for long term car storages either. I’ve attached some pics. Further spec details and price available upon request. Title and registration - this is unregistered. I haven’t taken delivery yet, so haven’t had the opportunity to register it. — On the other hand, if anyone has any experience moving Caterhams (or custom built kit cars) internationally (specifically the UK), I’d love to hear from you guys too, as I want to keep it if I can. UPDATE: Hi guys, after a lot of research and consideration, I’ve decided to keep the car, and not sell it. Thank you all for the interest and feedback. Have a nice weekend. Best, Arahant
  23. Gotcha. Thanks Bob. Yeah, the one I was looking at was a definitely newer one.
  24. Got it. I’ll contact them directly
