  1. When folks ask “How fast?” I point out that her garage mate is a track prepped supercharged Elise. Over 100 track days. 131 top ever and it did not feel fast. Often a buck and a quarter down through turn 12 at Road Atlanta. Good fun. The Seven is scary to sane folks at 35 mph. I have no way to ever know how fast but on paper should beat the Elise in lap times. The Elise dynoed 225/ton But, I’ve only been to 80 once in the Seven and it felt GOOD.
  2. If you get some I’ll show you the four hand tools you need to carry to adjust them. It’s very easy to bump into them and loosen something.
  3. Josh at Rocky Mountain Caterham supplied them.
  4. Is this what you are thinking?
  5. We were holding breath to see how the tires worked out. I have ‘new’ but aged Avons.
  6. For the general public, “This is a reproduction of a Lotus race car from the time I was born” (I’m 70) For friends and family “The Little Car” of just “the Seven”
  7. This is one of my first Sevens. Not sure when it was originally assembled but has gathered dust and lost bits over decades. Somehow I was moved this year to bring her back to glory, albeit showing a patina only time can produce. Turns out parts for these are available individually per ebay.
  8. I figured you had driven to Australia
  9. Yep that’s it, Montrose. Knew a fellow who had a wrap of his car on the sides.
  10. Anyone have one of those cool clam like deals that opens forward?
  11. Tamsulosin?
  12. Timely my order from Soft Bits arrived today. Fits great, simple enough to install (not quite completed, it’s late). Took a few months, cost 25% more due to geopolitics than when the order was placed but certainly no fault of the fellows at Soft Bits. Overall this is a nice thing to have. First snow of season this evening. 22 degrees. No telling when the garage door will open again but we’re getting ready….
  13. I appreciate what you’re trying to do, we all need some islands free of the Team Red-Team Blue ferver. So for me, it will be “Just the facts mamn” in this thread. If any more actual real life data shows up I’ll report it. Folks can forms their opinions and we can jump in the mud on the other thread if so inclined. Good effort at managing this thin line.
  14. I’m going to go ahead and say it. Since I just paid a 25% tariff tax on some Seven parts I claim this right. Mr. Trump doesn’t want these tariffs for the money. That’s secondary. He wants these so he can be the big man. So that he can waive the threat to change at any moment, switch his whim left and right at you or whoever. That’s the whole game. To be a mob boss ruling through fear not a leader of a civilized anything. Someone deserving a throneroom. The Supreme Court recognizes this, that no President should ever have these options. The fact that it is taking a while to rule illustrates their own fear of reprisals.
