  1. Jerry, that garage is amazing! I love the floor treatment. My epoxy floor leaves A LOT to be desired. My next garage will have a 4-post for quick oil changes and race car storage. The 2-post is mainly for suspension & chassis work where the wheels need to be removed.
  2. I installed a 2-post Bendpak lift (MX-10ACX) in my garage. I couldn't afford the Rotary. Here's a shot: http://henry-bell.com/images/Garage/images/Garage03.jpg Any pictures of your work space?
  3. For the record the wheels I ordered were 13x7", ET 25, Black. 2 months turnaround. I highly recommend Tom @ Manikllc.com for the transaction!
  4. Tom @ Manikllc.com gave me a price today for the 13" Team Dynamics wheels. I'm ordering them when I order my car tomorrow!
  5. Loved it! Thanks for sharing.
  6. In trying to decide on a final color for my Megabusa, I created a color rotator. I'm leaning towards white first, then electric blue. Your thoughts? http://henry-bell.com/images/megabusacolorchange/megabusarotator.htm And no, that car is not a Megabusa, but it does make for a great image to photoshop with!
  7. Man that thing sounds good. Might sound better with forced induction.
  8. Okay, I received an email from Mac1 this morning. Final verdict is I will run these wheels, but 10mm spacers will be needed as well. I will get the spacers here: Project Kics spacers.
  9. http://www.mac1motorsports.co.uk/index.php/Wheels/View-all-products.html I get lost in offset talk, so someone let me know if either offset available will work for a Megabusa (et15, et35). I really don't want to run spacers. Is it okay to run both 205's and 185's on 13x4" rims?
  10. I'm so damn confused on these wheels. Ben @ RMSC states the 13x8" rear offset is 39mm. Blatchat states et24. If I were to purchase the 13x6 fronts, and 13x8 rears would I need spacers or not?
  11. Wonderfully done. It was a joy to watch the artist work.
  12. I apologize if I skipped over the part where you stated the place you bought these wheels? I order my Megabusa in a few days and I need to order these wheels at the same time! I emailed US Caterhams, but no response.
  13. I'm ordering a Megabusa kit from you next week.
  14. Paint it black, make it a Megabusa, and I'll buy it for $25k. I have the cash in hand.
  15. Wow! I love that car. Although I'm not going the larger displacement route I will be paddle shifting and possibly turbocharging shortly after that. Is the verdict out on paddle shifting yet? Is the Megabusa too heavy for clutchless shifting? Will it shorten the lifespan of the gearbox? I'm leaning towards the Pro-Shift kit.
  16. Definitely the Busa. I order mine in less than 2 weeks! It should be built by Thanksgiving.
  17. I don't follow your post, BusaLoco. From the 2 pictures below it looks like a straight damn shot from the face of the rear differential flange to the output flange of the engine. http://www.megabusa.co.uk/photos/gallery/2007%2007%2030/CIMG3201.JPG Tunnel looks pretty straight. http://www.megabusa.co.uk/photos/gallery/2007%2008%2001/CIMG3256.JPG Westfield reverse box looks to be vertically in-line. Once I get my kit it will be much easier to visualize what you are trying to tell me.
  18. Young, green, redneck engineer here. If I opt for the starter/ring gear above would I simply replace the two (2) driveshafts and reverse box with a single driveshaft for my Megabusa? My kit hasn't arrived yet, so I don't know what angles I am working with between the reverse box, engine, and rearend.
  19. The suggestions above are helpful, but how do I go about insuring my Megabusa for track use as well as street use? Would I have to get a separate rider to cover that, or a separate insurance altogether?
  20. Thanks for the information, Tom. I guess I'll call the salvage yard and purchase those items. Another question comes up, how do I calibrate the speedometer for the rear axle assembly if I want to use the Hayabusa dash? An alternative would be a digital dash or autometer speedometer that is calibrated in a standing mile.
  21. I'm trying to get my salvage motor running in the garage without the kit. Do I need the gauge cluster, handlebar switch, and keyswitch to get this thing running? Does the Westfield kit come with any wiring? I know the brochures say "wiring loom", but one had mentioned a fuse block as well. Does the Megabusa kit come with any gauges? Should I purchase the 13" race wheels & tires with the kit, or should I shop around the states for the wheels/tires?
  22. Great site you all have here. I am about to take the plunge and purchase a Westfield Megabusa kit from Manik LLC. I found a 2005 'Busa engine, harness, ECU, radiator, oil cooler, airbox, etc. for $3000 in Texas. The engine just turned over 8k miles. I'll order the kit the first of August and it should arrive in Louisiana approximately 12 weeks later. I checked out the Frappr map and it seems the Texas folk are the closest to me. Maybe I can make a meet sometime soon. I did view a few prime Westfield examples at the Carlisle show a few years back. Beautiful cars! Anyhow, I'm going to spring for a triple black, full FIA rollcage, LSD, and a few other options for my future roadracing beast. Any current owner feedback would be appreciated.
