Instrument engineer returned from his cruise. He worked with me half a day today, but he had to leave because of a sinus infection. By God's grace and four (4) wiring diagrams I figured out the dash harness. I connected the entire dash, and I have 50% of the dash harness marked for removal (heater, wipers, tach, speedo, wiper pump, useless switches, etc). Completed so far: Engine bay harness ECU Test plugs (2) Dash harness Things left to do: Complete wiring for factory Hayabusa fuse box/relays Remove unnecessary dash plugs/wiring Must... be... patient...

That looks like a lot of surface area to dissipate the vertical force. I would hope some FEA went into designing that part. Since it is a Mercedes part I'm sure the Germans did the analysis. Where do they normally fail? The perch itself or does it fail at the interaction between the perch and the unibody?

Seems this turbo Se7en doesn't have any problem downshifting, boost lag, etc. Do you have more pictures, Bob?

jlumba81, did you include finishing the body in your prices above? I was told the Factory Five bodies come oversized and in need of many hours of labor even before painting. Local wanted $8000-10000 to finish the body for a Daytona Coupe I was going to buy. I was sold on the Westfield Megabusa due to no body work or paint (trimming is fine).

Has anyone ever put a DSM 4g63 turbocharged 2.0 L engine in a Se7en? An adapter plate would be required for a RWD application, but it has been done before by Buschur Racing as well as many other drag racers.

What is included with a refresh? What is required? I figured I'd change the oil every track day and put gas in it. I paid $3000 for my 2005 Hayabusa motor complete with wiring harness and ECU with 4000 miles on the clock.

When you hit the "Go" button the electric motor adds the additional power. At least that's how I understood it. Checking in on the rules as follows: 5.2.3 The maximum power, in or out, of any KERS must not exceed 60kW. (60kW = 60,000 watts. 1 HP = 746 Watts, so 60,000/746 = ~81 HP.) Energy released from the KERS may not exceed 400kJ in any one lap.

I bought my MEGABUSA for the ultimate track day experience with the budget I have. Although my car is not finished yet my FlatShifter paddle shift setup arrived today in the mail. Paddle shifting the sequential motorcycle tranny around the circuit without the clutch will be a big plus. I believe the sequential trannies offered for the Car Engined Cars (CEC) are expensive adders indeed (i.e. Quaife). Power to weight was my deciding factor and the Bike Engined Cars (BEC) have that stock. Now if you modify a Duratec engine then the BEC's power/weight doesn't shine as much. Longevity is an issue with modified BECs or so I hear. Turbocharged BECs are the worst. Maybe I will prove them wrong if I get bored with the stock Hayabusa power this fall. I'm ditching the factory reverse box for either an electric or manual reverse. More on that in the coming weeks. Take what I say with a grain of salt. My car has yet to hit the road (other than on the back of a 20' trailer). She's been up to 70mph though!

Torqueman, Yes, I've seen that video. I love watching Libell use his FlatShifter system, but I cringed at the thought of one of the Sevens hitting those gravel piles at speed. Seriously, how long would it have taken the grounds keeper to spread the gravel out before they raced? The wind turbines are a nice touch too. I sure hope my paddleshift works 1/2 as good as Libell's car.

Stunning engine bay you have there! That is the most heat wrap I've ever seen, but it is indeed required to keep the heat from melting everything. Now that you have teased us with the pics we wanted can we get video too? *grin*

My tiny ass website business (hobby) just finished a British website. I'm international and stuff! It is Se7en related as their custom parts make our cars much faster around racing circuits. http://www.quickshifters.com This client owns several domain names regarding this website, and I think he will eventually drag/drop the entire site over to his primary domain name, http://www.flatshifter.com. I took some information from the FlatShifter website and incorporated it into the full revision you see at QuickShifters. I swapped this website revision for a complete FlatShifter MAX + PRO system with paddles for my MEGABUSA kit car. The kit should be arriving next week. I only use the clutch to pull away from a deadstop and to stop the car. Both hands on the wheel are a plus in a 900 lb car with 200 HP. I'M STOKED! Comments are welcome.
