no i was contaminated with upgrade bug a long time ago. it started 3 years ago when i bought my elise. this is what my elise look like today. i have spent just as much buying my elise, as i have buying upgrades for it. i don't want to do as much to the seven. this is what i have planned so far. -V1 radar detector -quick release steering wheel -some carbon fiber parts (dash and indicator mounting cone) -new lighter seats -switch from a windshield to a windkick if its legal -in the future maybe a motorswap?

i was wondering if there was a site where i can buy some additions for my seven. these are some of the things im interested in. -removable steering wheel -fire extinguisher -differnet seats -a windkick and i saw that some cars have a carbon fiber dash. can you buy this somewhere and is it hard to put in? well i was taking out the garbage this morning, so i thought id give the turn signals another try. they work now! im pretty sure it was either the hazard switch turned on a little bit or there was some corrosion on the switch. Thank you all for your help! now i can enjoy my seven on the street! i had one question though. right next to the fuse block there is a black knob that you can pull out and push back in. is this the choke, or what? Thanks again!

are the turn signals supposed to work if the key is out of the ignition?

does a relay control the turn signal? ill see if i got 12 volts at the switch tomorrow. other then that does anyone know the easiest way to take apart the switch to look at the contacts?

i tried that, it didn't seem to do anything, but ill try again.

i just checked all the fuses with my fluke and they are all fine. my car has only 4000 miles on it and it has never seen any rain. the switch itself for the turn signals looks fine, and brand new. i still have no clue

which fuse is the one for the flashers?

i just recently bought a 2003 seven and have had it for 500 miles, and my turn signals stopped working. the lights all work because the four way flashers still work. i dont have a manual for this car or anything, so does anyone have any ideas?

just wondering too is there a reason for the two drain plugs?

k ill start putting in 5W 40. thats what i put in my lotus already does anyone know an easier way to get the oil filter off? i punched a few holes in it with a screwdriver to get it off

even though it says 5W 20 on the oil cap, it should be fine with the 5W 30 right? should i switch to 5W 20 next time? went out for a long cruise and it seemed fine. should i switch over to 5W 20 though next time

thanks, i think ill go with 5W30 non synthetic. i still don't know what the capacity is for oil on that motor. im gonna buy 5 quarts to be on the safe side, and i will have extra for next time.

i am about to do my first oil change on my seven and i have the ford zetec 2.0L motor. the sheet that i got with the car says use either -5W30 non synthetic -5W20 non synthetic is there a reason to not use synthetic?and it does not say the oil capacity. does anyone know this. Thanks, Dan

i got a new seven and when i tried putting on the harnesses for the drivers side, it seemed wrong. the insert for the 5th point is facing up instead of down which makes all the belts crooked and fit weird. the passenger side is fine and is normal but from the pics you can see it looks up side down when its connected. whats the easiest way to fix this?

yeah i decided to go with the speed cats also and i just got them and they fit great in the footwell
