  1. Cool to see the Lancaster. Many were built in Malton, Ontario and my junior high school was named "Lancaster J.H.S" because it stood where the old factory was.
  2. Great replies so far guys, and it looks like the clamshells are popular amongst the Canucks.
  3. It seems that although Caterham and other makers have taken over and far exceeded Lotus in production numbers people still like to refer to their cars as a "lotus" when talking to others. Am I right in that? I find myself more and more just calling it a Lotus after I've let people know I just bought a new toy to save on the hassle of explaining what it is. The reaction when I show them pics on my iPhone has been priceless. My wife calls it a "motorcycle car", my co-worker called it a "dune buggy" and "one of those antqiue cars you drive on a rail at the amusement park", while my 9 yr son called it Jar Jar Binks http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4044/4185624357_bd4d4c94c9.jpg http://thehomestarmy.com/s9y/uploads/Curtis/Jar-Jar-Binks.jpeg
  4. Hey all, To inaugurate our new forum here on USA7's, I'd like all Canadian members/owners to post here with your basic info and perhaps a picture of your ride and some info about yourself. I don't have my car yet (just a few days away) but I'll start things off with what info I have and will update my entry. Name: John Location: Ottawa Car: 1982 Fejer 7 Details are sketchy at best at the moment but as far as I know the car was originally produced by the Fejer bros as a separate business from their racing activities which ultimately failed. The cars were well designed and were produced under license from Lotus. The car was first registered in 1982, powered by Toyota type 2TC 1588cc cross flow with single Weber, manual 5 speed transmission, 5 new mini mags with new rubber and 5 spare mag wheels (from Datsun S30Z) with tires. A body-off restoration was performed by StirtonHotrodz in Oakville ontario in winter 2009. The car features coil over shocks suspension, body reworked to permit individual panel removal, adjustable seats, quick disconnect steering wheel, 4 into one headers running to chrome side exhaust. Future plans: Cycle fenders Paint fenders (front and rears) and nosecone black Proper rollover protection Proper racing buckets ...then lets go racing!! 8. Scam or not, looks like I'm going to be the proud new owner of this Fejer 7!! Spoke to owner this weekend and made a verbal agreement. Planning to have it picked up and delivered in 2 weeks!
  9. Agreed, but man the 7 looks so cool without covered wheels

  11. Hmmm...never thought of that. I guess I'll hold off until I have the car and see what I want to do with it. I se so many hi-po 7's here with the cycle wing I assumed its quite wide. Not an issue about the attachment marks...the body is fiberglass!
  12. Close to picking up a 7 replica and looking for a set of front cycle style fenders to replace the wing type.
  13. I also found this on google...I wonder if it's the original owner's? http://www.lotuscarclub.ca/BuySell/lechnost/lechnost.html
  14. I am in contact with the owner, fingers crossed!
  15. What year is it registered at? Willing to ship to Canada?

    My NSX

Acura only exists in North America. A lot of NSX owners here rebadge them as Hondas since the NSX was conceived to celebrate Honda's dominance of F1 in the 90's.

Had the perfect day today. 15-20 degrees celsius, not too sunny and the car ran like a champ. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs263.snc3/27827_433230571223_690446223_5816464_6170351_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs283.snc3/27827_433226861223_690446223_5816392_1188645_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs313.ash1/27827_433226866223_690446223_5816393_2599588_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-sjc1/hs263.snc3/27827_433226881223_690446223_5816396_97666_n.jpg

There's a lot of other "wheel whores" on NSXPrime, which is where I buy and sell most of my wheels. The nsx uses a staggered diameter as well as width and offset, so it's hard to buy "off the shelf" wheels for this car. Most owners buy, get bored after a few years and sell them again on Prime. All but my present set were used. The current wheels are Advan RS, and I special ordered them from a NSX specific company called Science of Speed http://scienceofspeed.com/
  20. I would suggest Adam at Feast Auto Exports, based in Yokohama. Adam is a Canadian ex-pat who hits the auctions regularly. He works with Miguel at Newera as well. http://www.feastautoexport.com/

Haha, believe it or not I actually offered it in a straight trade for a 7 ...and got turned down. Mind you that was during the spring when my car was still stored and I was going through my semi-annual hankering pains for other thrills. Since the NSX is back on the road I realize I can't sell it. So...gotta look for more garage space
  22. Bah! Got outbidded on the caterham I had my eye on. The search continues. Seems like a lot of Birkens for sale in Japan these days!

Actually I am not a wheel collector. I really wanted to stop at the TE37/BBS LMs stage for track/road wheels combo but the decision to go with bigger brakes suddenly made them unusable I erred on the side of caution with the bigger diameter Volk CE28Ns but after a year could not stand the ride quality and tire choices, so then I went with the Tecnomagnesios (the ones with the red stripe) which had a smaller diameter and cleared my brakes. That worked out well until I got an offer I couldn;t refuse for them (Tecno's are quite sought after in the nsx crowd) so I decided on the Advan RS that are on the bottom of that series of photos. So far I love them and will probably end my wheel juggle there (fingers crossed). However, if I can find another set of bronze Volk TE37s in the right offsets to work, I would jump on those again in a heartbeat.
