    My NSX

(continued) I thought this is also kinda fun...a series of pics of my car from when I first got her to today. If my wife sees this she'll kill me once she realizes how much money has gone into my nsx... http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v314/63/75/690446223/n690446223_1643607_8049.jpg http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v314/63/75/690446223/n690446223_1643606_7717.jpg http://photos-f.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v135/63/75/690446223/n690446223_623341_114.jpg http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v314/63/75/690446223/n690446223_1643605_7322.jpg

    My NSX

As requested in the other thread, here're some pics of my nsx. It's a 1992, with 108,000 kms. I bought it in 2006 when it had 85,000 kms on it, bone stock except for a tackey set of wheels. Over the years I start first with mild, mostly cosmetic mods (skirts, front lip, wheels, coilover and exhaust) but as I got more and more into the car and what it can do on the track it started taking a life of its own. In 4 years it's gone through 7 sets of wheels, 2 front spoilers, 3 sideskirts, 2 rear valences, and 3 rear wings. Coming from a R32 Skyline GTR with 500hp to a 270 hp NA nsx was a big change, and the car handles amazingly with the only weakness being lack of torque (a honda thing), so from the getgo it was destined to have forced induction. After a lot of research the system I ended up with is a Gruppe M system made by K&N Japan. It utilizes an Eaton M90 positive displacement blower producing 5 lbs of boost, RC550 injectors, walbro 255LPH fuel pump, all controlled with a AEM EMs standalone management ecu for about 400hp (not bad in a 3000 lb car). Chassis is reinforced with NSX-R braces and rear strut tower bar. It's got an RPS billet twinplate clutch, mugen short shifter, Tein Flex coilovers with cockpit controlled settings. Braking is handled by AP Racing 4 pots in the front with stock rear 2 pot calipers and ferodo track (loud and sqeeky) pads, SS lines. It's also got a complete NSX-R red interior with red alcantara recaro SR3 seats, Takata 5 pt harnesses, harness bar, removeable OMP steering wheel, OMP pedals, all interior trim replaced with carbon fibre pieces, CF headlight covers, CF rear window vent, and a Voltex rear wing with gurney flap, and a complete flat undertray from stem to stern that terminates in a complicated rear diffuser that was copied from the racing lemans NSX. The underbody, combined with the vented hood generates zero lift and very usable downforce. I think that covers it...the project is always a never-ending one but I do think I am nearing completion. Here're some pics from last week: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs416.snc3/25098_430257196223_690446223_5749710_5573734_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs456.ash1/25098_430257201223_690446223_5749711_3215379_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs416.snc3/25098_430257206223_690446223_5749712_5533080_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs456.ash1/25098_430257221223_690446223_5749715_7985089_n.jpg
  4. Not to go offtopic but I was i my NSX on Friday in traffic and a cabbie in a minivan pulls up next to me and asks if my comes like that or if I modified it. I thought he was talking about the entire track car package I got so I said "I modified it", and he replied "wow, I can't believe you can move the engine from the front to the trunk like dat!". *rolleyes* http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs456.ash1/25098_430257226223_690446223_5749716_6921521_n.jpg
  5. Congrats! The search for my car is heating up too. My importer is making a bid on a 1994 tonight (tomorrow morning in Japan). Auction Gr 4.5, 10,000kms, aside from wheels the car looks perfect. Can't wait to join you in trying to wipe that silly grin off
  6. Gorgeous! One of the reasons why I am seriously on the hunt for a Se7en type car. Best of all worlds. Selling?

  8. I sent Martin an eail and awaiting reply. Here's one I'm considering, located in Japan: http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g84895573 http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs505.snc3/26519_421212496223_690446223_5507264_716977_n.jpg
  9. Hi all, I'm John and I'm located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I've been interested in a seven since a former employee's husband completed a partially built one he acquired at an estate sale. At the time I thought it was rather ugly until I read more about them and started appreciating what they are. That was almost 12 years ago I travel to Japan a lot to visit family and I've seen Caterha's parked in the streets a few times. I'm interested in a local one or possibily importing one from Japan as they are relatively plentiful and inexpensive there. I love the concept of simple, raw, lightweight vehicles. I found out about this forum in the Hemming's Sports and Exotics magazine article, which I picked up this past weekend. My current track toy is a modified 1992 Acura NSX. http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs217.snc3/22436_340472951223_690446223_5187901_2059052_n.jpg Anyways, good to be here, not sure how much I will contribute since I know nothing, and am not mechanically inclined other than for simple things. I hope getting into a 7 will rectify that. I plan to sponge as much info here as possible and hopefully pick up one for sale here. John
