  1. You cant use the Focus 65mm TB on the ZX2 intake manifold and I dont know of a 65mm for the ZX2 , you can make an adaptor for it You could change to a 2000 ZX3 intake and then use the 65mm Focus TB , the intake manifolds are the same as for where they bolt to the head it mostly depends on what fuel rail you have and you would have to madify the throttle linkage but not a big deal I like the comp stg3 cams and they are VERY streetable Tom
  2. Jenvey mostly there is a few other i have worked on I am no expert with the ITB world Please everyone keep in ming that most of my work is with the ZX2 /ZX3 /SVT Focus which uses the stock intake manifolds It still comes down to the same thing how to make SAFE power with these engines and I can do that Tom
  3. Sorry not up on all the ITB`s out there ,It would take a year on the dyno to test them all with all the diff combos It is fairly easy to get 155-165 with the stock ZX2-ZX3 intake manifold moderate built engine and 180`s with good ITB`s Tom
  4. Oh come on ... everyone needs at least 300HP to the wheels LOL Everyone talkes in HP where they should be talking in TQ , coming off that corner to hit the straights with 280 Pound Ft of TQ would be very nice Tom
  5. Yes I have tuned hundreds of the Duratec engines both the 2.0 and the 2.3 I own a Co. Called Focus-Power and do a lot of work with the Zetec because it came out in the Ford Focus in 2000 and thats when I started with the Zetec I have taken a Zetec engine to 723HP to the wheels in my daily driver , NA engine to over 220 with out ITB`s I also have a full machine shop , in house dynojet dyno , I tune with SCT and Diablosport for the stock ECU I work with all the Contour / ZX2 / ZX3 / SVT / Duratec engines and have tuned and built hundreds of them Best place to find out more about me is http://www.focusfanatics.com I would love to get me hands on a Caterham and turbo it to about 300HP as a daily driver Tom
  6. To ID the Zetec is fairly ease The Contour and ZX2 will have a VCT Exh cam gear buldge on timing cover Exh side The ZX3 has to STD flat cam gears , flat timing cover The SVT has the VCT Gear on the Intake side , buldg on timing cover Intake side As for the questions about the Engine Management if you have the Ford ECU keep it it is by far the best Engine Management you can have and you have 2 options for tuning the SCT Pro Racer Package where you can tune the Ford ECU your self or Custom tuning from some one like me that can do your tuning 100% remote and has done more with the Zetec engine then any one Tom
  7. If this is a track only car why are you running 2 o2 sensors , The rear o2 is for the CAT only and the front is nice to have for closed loop fueling (idle , cruise , part throttle ) but not used for Wide Open Throttle , you could take out the rear o2 altogether and just use the front or turn off the rear o2 with a tune Tom
  8. In my opinion the Zetec engine has just as much potential as the Miata engine does maybe even more. To get 300HP to the wheels of the Zetec is very easy to do with a turbo as mine is making just over 700 to the wheels in my street Focus Zetec and I LOVE using the stock ECU in the Caterhams Stock Zetec bottom end with a good head , ITB and tune will net you in the 180 easy Tom
