I wonder how many are in the States? Ed
-
When I had mine built if you wanted an honest 250hp it was the way to go.... I have the alloy bock and it saves in the range of 20 kg. If you have no emissions testing it is just another engine. Parts have not been a problem. A bit of cross referencing and two day from QED takes care of that. I'm happy with mine, love the torque and power delivery but if I was starting new would go with Duratec. Ed

While I plan on having a seven until I'm unable to get in and out (perhaps next week) this does look nice. No knowledge of the car or owner other than the ad... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/541568-beck-550-spyder-1955-factory-replica-porsche-550-a.html Ed

I have ordered tickets and in an act of excessive optimism a parking pass. If I can get the car back together the plan is to show up the 12th and then after the weekend drive north to Seattle. I plan on showing up for the weekend even if the car does not. It will be good to see you guys again. Ed

Accomodation will be the accustomed full dinner bed and breakfast over three hotels. The first two nights in the Hilton Colylumbridge, Aviemore, nights three and four and a secret location on the west coast yet to be revealed & the final friday night at our old favorite, the oldest hotel in Scotland, the Kenmore where for all those who have been before, is a joy unto itself.... never mind anything else I may have planned A roadbook will be prepared offering sugggestions of routes for each of the days with various mileages depending on your preference for time in the car. As always there are no rules so it you want to head off sightseeing instead there will ample choice from Castles to palaces, distilleries to stunning countryside and plans are afoot for a possible gathering of se7ens at John O Groats. Once again the invite is extended to both old and new tourers (even the odd MX5 owner) and of course not only includes all accomodation, but also the support of our tour truck & two man crew. Costs are estimates at the moment as the final costs depends on final numbers however provisional calculations work out at about 385GBP per person based on two in a car and shared double/twin rooms. There will be a small suppliment for single persons as always which can only be calculated once we have the final numbers. Payment for the tour will be in three instalments. An initial deposit of 100GBP per person due now. An interim payment of 250GBP per person end of June and a final balance payable in August. All payment details are at the end of this email. To confirm a place please email me back with :- 1 - confirmation of your deposit & the bank reference used in the transfer (usually your surname) 2 - whether you are solo or with passenger 3 - your preference to twin/double/single rooms (note there is NO SINGLE ROOM option at the Kenmore hotel) I need to confirm numbers to the hotels & pay deposits by 14th April so I suggest you don't delay in registering your place. I just received this from John. I'm saving for his V8 but his new engine looks nice (nice is an understatement) . You have to love an engine you can pick up. Hello all, A new product announcement! The new engine is called the H2 BUSA. No, it's not a V8, but performance will be spectacular. Preliminary information is on the entry page of the website. Go to www.H1V8.com Best regards, John
