  1. Hi I'm interested in the Ford Racing head, is your head M-6049-ZX3P?
  2. That thought was running through my mind last night. My car has the master kill switch on LH side of bulkhead so all voltage is off?
  3. I guess it’s possible that I have a partial grounding issue, but all the lights are functioning well? I could remove the grounding wires and clean and reattach just as a preventive precaution. I know Ford had issues with the Mustang hood due to contamination of iron oxide causing blistering. Maybe my car was poorly prep at factory in this area causing the corrosion? I would like to chat with Magnus about his issues and resolutions!
  4. Car only has 500 miles on it and is a garage queen. It;s only been wash twice, never seen a rain drop..
  5. No, on brass or copper in the general area, maybe 15 feet away I have some copper tubing. Blisters started last year, treated by sanding and brushing with new stainless steel brush and then epoxy primer then paint/clear coat. Paint supplier said that epoxy would work better than zinc chrome-mate?
  6. My car is a 2002 SV. I started having blisters popping up on the rear aluminum panel in the area of spare tire. Has anyone had this issue, and if so what did you do to solve the problem.
  7. Sorry, I had to go check my folder on what was done. What we did was place a 8-10 ohm's resistor on the led light wire. Not a diode!! http://s1368.photobucket.com/user/gt40mirage/media/CopyofP1010256_zps0cbacfaa.jpg.html
  8. Yes very familiar with that problem, being that your selling the car you may not want to but you can easley fix that with a diode attach to the light wire. I found that the led’s can’t handle 12V’s coming from alternator. You can see the diode attach to the bottom of the aluminum bracket off the back of my alternator. http://usa7s.com/vb/C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Cars\Super_seven_sv\Alternator Cheers!!
  9. Nice car Laramidian!! In your photo of the dash it look as if your Ign light is on? Cheers
  10. I second the issue on customer service with Caterham USA, needed to order parts for the SV called left numerous messages; finely three days later they called back and left a message. Makes me think I should sell my car?
  11. Otto, I have an original Lotus Weber T/C 1600 head complete with valves, valve cover, and thermostat housing. All standard dimensions never been molested or milled. I’ve own this head for 35 years
  12. I would say that the setup would be different for each track; IE LH turns versa RH turns. Taking tire temps consistently across the contact patch all while trying to keep the tire from blistering is what you’re trying to achieve.
  13. 3X DITTO!:deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:
  14. Martin, I’m 12 miles north of Anderson SC, I have an SV, and you’re more than welcome to sit in my car for a fit.
  15. Thanks guys, Its always good to here form fellow Zetec owners. I’m still looking for the head at this current time. If anyone here’s of one that’s used or new I would be interested to here back from you. I mess around focusing on the Bugeye project and let them slip by not knowing that Ford had plans to discontinue them.
  16. Thanks Sdaddy, hope to here back from you on the out come with the Massive head and your opinion...
  17. Anyone have any experience with the Ford Motorsport race head M6049ZX3P, I here pros and cons regarding the improvement comparatively to a stock head. Currently running TWM throttle bodies with Kent Focus 12 cams, 11 to 1 CR with stock head. I would appreciate any input and opinions. Thanks!!

  20. Wow, was I ever wrong, thought your car was the same color as my SV maybe my monitor is set wrong? :cooldude:
  21. Congratulations, your wait will be worth while for sure. Same color as my SV, from the looks of the tachometer the engine is already running!!
