  1. Try Greg Whitehead at Whitehead Performance. Mike is his shop manager. They specialize in Datsun / Nissan / Skyline, but, have been wrenching, building, maintaining, racing all makes for years. Tony the head mechanic is the best of the best - he is often flown around the world to keep customer cars in tune. Worth a phone call and visit.
  2. As I posted on Pelican bbs, don'tsell it!!
  3. Wow... this went from an old seven thread to a registration thread in a few short posts. Back to topic... great buy for whom ever picked this up. Anyone here? I see lots of work and lots of money to be spent, but what agreat project.
  4. I was in the trailer market last year, and, after careful consideration (and some luck) I ended up with a used trailex. It's 845 empty, electric brakes on both axles and pulls like nothing is back there.
  5. I've had my 7 for 3 years now, I'm 45. Wanted one since I was 16 or so....
  6. Thanks.. I'm at most of the British shows in Ontario (Ancaster in spring, Port Perry, Bronte in September) I'm sure we'll cross paths this summer. Post pics of your car when you have a sec ...
  7. 1974 Caterham, dry-sumped Lotus Twin Cam with webers, orange
  8. Hi Andy, Another 7 owner in Ontario here ... welcome aboard. I'm in Guelph. Cheers, Lino Terry ... PM sent
  9. I have an e46 xi touring and am amazed at what people are towing with it in Europe. Rated at 2200kg (overseas) Here, N/A
  10. I have a trailex CT-7541, all aluminum, 845lbs empty. Holds the 7 (and other vehicles) easily and pulls like a dream empty or loaded.

    British car day

Another Southern Ontario Lotus owner here ... we're out here, just not always on line. I'll be at Bronte ... either in my orange 7, or my MGA. You mentioned Bimmer forums ... which one? I have an E46 and an E30 Touring. There's a big German car show at Bingamen Park in Kitchener Sept 7 and 8. I`ll be at the Glen that weekend, but it sounds like a cool show.
  12. Good luck with the sale (I have the orange caterham that was beside you at Bronte) hope you find a good home for your car. All the best, lgb240 (also in guelph)
  13. I've been attending this event for the past 20+ consecutive years - wouldn't miss it. Better secure your accomdations NOW if you haven't already - places book up very quickly in the area, and are expensive. Also plan on rain for some of the week-end. In the last 20 years, there's only been 3 weekends I can remeber where there was no rain for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Plan on being in the village no later than Fiday noon - the Friday festivities are not to be missed and make the weekend. Definitely take the 7 - you'll be glad you did. cheers, lgb240
  14. Princess Auto sells st.steel band clamps in their hydrolic section. The clamps uses a nylock nut, so be sure to double nut it to keep it tight as the nylon melts away. I used them on my Caterham and am very pleased - spent about $4.00 total for 2 clamps Good luck lgb240
  15. That's where it is on my '74 caterham
