We have already scouted the area so we will probably post official dates, locations, etc sometime in mid January. A group of 10+ will result in a 10% discount or $89 + tax, etc. It has a huge parking lot and some nice acommodations. Any last minute folks arriving will be welcome and you don't need to be driving a seven. Hang about with other folks and talk cars. As Always, plans change when faced with the cold hard truth of reality... But here is the plan: Galena Illinois 2015 27 May through 31 May Agenda Base location is Chestnut Ridge (10 Miles South of Galena) Wednesday, 27 May ================= * Brenda and I arrive, unpack, complete last minute preparations * Evening Ad-Hoc scouting/meal and other fun to be arranged with anyone who is around. Thursday, 28 May ================ * Morning ** 7:30 Brenda and I will have Breakfast at Victory in Galena (All are welcome to join) ** Ad-Hoc Blats as arranged with anyone who is available * Afternoon ** Official start time for most participants ** 12:00 Lunch at Chestnut Ridge ** 1:00 to 4:00 short Blats in the Galena Area (To include seeing an Alien Spaceship and a Distillery Tour for $10, etc) * Evening ** 5:00 Depart for Dinner ** 6:00 Durty Gurts (Downtown Galena) ** 7:00 Head back to Chestnut Ridge (determine route at that time) Friday, 29 May ============== * Morning ** 07:30 Brenda and I will be at Broken Yoke for Breakfast (All are welcome) ** 9:00 group blat on twisty roads: Start at Chestnut Ridge ** 11:30 arrive back at Chestnut Ridge * Afternoon ** 12:00 Lunch at Chestnut Ridge (pick up any new arrivals) ** Show-n-Shine (Chat time, See Cars/etc) ** short runs, and free time (run to Galena, Alternate Distillery tour time, etc.) ** 4:00 Start towards supper (some twisty roads along the way) * Evening ** 5:30 Dinner at "The Cove" (in Apple Canyon) ** 7:00 Head back to Chestnut Ridge (determine route at that time) Saturday, 30 May ================ * Morning ** 07:00 Very Early Blat (Breakfast at Broken Yolk in Elizabeth) depart from Broken Yolk to root out the twisty roads. *** Note: As an alternate, anyone who wants a good breakfast but doesn't want to be on the early run, we recommend going to Otto’s and touring galena. then Meet us for the photo shoot at 11:00 ** 10:00 Early blat arrive back at Chestnut Ridge ** 10:30 Round up to go to Galena (Near Otto’s/Bridge) for Photo Shoot ** 11:00 Otto’s/Bridge for Photo Shoot * Afternoon ** 12:00 Lunch/Picnic in Grant Park (walking distance from Otto’s; Brenda and I providing food) ** 1:00 Midwest 7s Group Tour departs (Circling around Mississippi) *** We will go to Mines of Spain *** We will go to Mississippi Overlook at Bellevue, IA *** We will loop through Sabula and then catch some twisty roads back *** Between 4:00-4:30 expected return to Chestnut Ridge *** Expected tour driving time will be 2 hours *** Total time for the tour (with stops) expected to be 3 hours * Evening ** Dinner at Chestnut Ridge *** Drinks/Awards *** ???
