xcarguy
Joe and John were identical twins. Joe was a simple man who owned an old decrepit boat and not much else; didn’t even carry a cell phone. He was known to be a bit crass in mixed company, so he pretty much kept to himself. One day, Joe found himself in dire need of some beer money. Because it wasn’t yet payday, he decided to rent out his boat to a group of guys who ended up sinking it. Joe spent the next day or two trying to salvage the boat, but finally gave up and simply recovered as much stuff as he could from the sunken vessel. During Joe’s absence, his brother’s (John’s) wife had suddenly taken ill and passed away. Upon Joe’s return from the salvage operation, he decided to stop at the local grocer for a few items before heading home. As he entered the store, a kind old woman saw Joe and mistook him for John and said, "I'm so sorry for your loss. You must feel terrible." Joe, thinking she was referring to his boat said, "Hell no! As a matter of fact, I'm really glad to be rid of her. She was a rotten old bitch from the beginning. Her bottom was shriveled like a jar of prunes and she smelled like a fish market! And no matter how hard I scrubbed, that smell would not wash out. She had a bad crack in the back and a pretty big hole in the front as well. And every time I used her, the hole got bigger. Toward the end, she was leaking like a sieve." "I guess what finally finished her off was my deciding to rent her to those four guys who were out looking for a good time. I warned them that she wasn't very sturdy and smelt like a dead mackerel, but they wanted her anyway. Hell bent, they were! Those damned fools……….they ended up trying to get into her all at one time and she split right up the middle." The old woman fainted. . . . . . :seeya:
