scannon Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 An imperial eagle named Darshan captured phenomenal views of the capital of the United Arab Emirates while taking cues from his trainer on the ground. The eagle flight was arranged by the nature conservation group Freedom Conservation with the purpose of drawing attention to eagle conservation. This white-tailed eagle has been critically endangered for the last 50 years. With a height of 2,722 feet (830 m), the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is currently the world’s tallest building. http://www.flixxy.com/world-record-eagle-flight-from-worlds-tallest-building.htm?utm_source=nl
bigdog Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Great video. Although I'm still a little confused about what record the Eagle set or broke.
scannon Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 Highest base jump for an eagle? Since it was from the highest building in the world it must be a record of some kind. :jester:

scannon Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 How about highest BASE jump with no parachute!!! :jester: I don't think so, when he opened his wings after the stoop they were a very effective parachute.
NVP66S Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Now that's what I call a low glide ratio with a good flare, and winner of the spot landing contest!
