lotusman1951
In the Fury the hydraulics are below the headers-say 10 inches-the plastic tops of the Tilton large container is melting. It might be because I fan cool the exhaust and the heat was directed there-for 20 mins with the fan on while I looked at other cars-or not. I split a silicon hose over the tops for the moment as a heat block-and I am buying new master cylinders-perhaps with metal fluid containers-or remotes. I would like some more pressure in the brakes-do I go up or down in bore size to accomplish this? Kevin 1015 miles with smiles
coffee break
1) Heat issue- Is the header wrapped with insulating tape? It's helped on my 7 2) Hydraulic pressure increase- There are a few ways to accomplish this. A) Smaller bore with the same brake lever ratio B) Same bore and increase the leverage ratio of the pedal C) Booster This is just off the top of the head, fact checking welcomed. Dan3030
I wanted stronger braking and put on EBC Yellow Stuff. Seemed to solve the problem for me due to increased coefficient of friction. All the above are also correct solutions I considered in parallel.
