Trading in one 7 project for another

Frankn7 is still in storage, but the Caterham R1 chassis I bought a few years ago is on its way to a new home.

 

In its place is a different kind of 7 project I've been working on for a few months, banging away rivet by rivet.

 

End product will be a Vans RV-7a (similar to this - not mine)

At the moment, about 80% done with tail section and wings. There is at least another 3 years of work left before an airworthy aircraft is ready to take flight.

Are you building this at home in the garage or have you found a special man cave with the extra space you will need?

It'll be at home in the garage until the final stages of fuselage completion. before wings are attached. after that it'll be at a hangar at the airport.
